Re: Paqueta
They'd have made more money backing Alvarez to get booked. 17 payouts to 13 for Pacqueta.

"Fraser wrote... Re: Paqueta Just seen the 4 yellows... One of them against Villa could be considered dodgy but they really were nothing that didn't look normal. I also had a look at these and I fully concur with your assessment. It also made me think that just maybe some of the more outlandish behaviour/tackles and bookings that he was involved in e.g. the England game and Europa Quarter Final first leg may have been attempts to show that he was a rash player always liable to a booking. These took place after the FA were already investigating I suspect that the case will be based on whether the FA can match the unusual betting to people who are known to him. And that his failure to cooperate might be that it took him a month or so to surrender his phone, which maybe by then had been subject to a lot of deletions of data in and around the events. All of course assuming that he did it. I suspect the FA will find him guilty as they won't rely on the same level of evidence as a criminal case and then the real legal fun will begin, which will take an age."

Re: Paqueta
"Yes absolutely- the last two minutes of our game against Sheffield United away this season as well were iffy to say the least. Dodgy as fuck on field decision for a penalty which VAR doesn't overturn even though Areola is clearly the one being fouled, before a blatant penalty at the other end on Bowen isn't given. You could really interpret that as someone on the make. Actually pisses me right off that all the fuss is about that Wolves disallowed goal which I really don't think was in the same league as the passage of play with these two incidents. Anyway, rant over. i know that's not about Paqueta."

"It does make me laugh the amount of sponsorship there is on shirts and all over every ground, and on the adverts on the shows, which you'd think would be only for the over 18's, that the commentators apologise in case a bit a swearing is heard from the crowd over the mics."

Re: Paqueta
Why just pick on the players? Some of the refereeing decisions are so iffy it has you wondering if they are in the pockets of the betting syndicates. Remember Bobby Madley overuling the linesman at Bournemouth and everything Mike Dean did to us while playing against Man Utd.

Re: Paqueta
"I think Nolan (sure it was him rather than Carroll) missed most Christmases during his career (elsewhere too), even joked about it. the FA still haven't named the punishement, that shows they haven't got a fucking clue what they're doing. do we have to go in to pre-season wondering if we're without one of our better players? these amateurs are probably only worried about the jolly up at the euros, rather than clearing up this mess"

Re: Paqueta
How many players made sure they got booked or sent off so that they didn't play over Christmas? Neil Ruddock always seemed to be suspended

I don't care if he gets done for murdering a group of old people in wheel chairs with a axe slowly Just put a statue up of him making that pass in the final.

Good that nasty red “Charged” label has been removed from the thread title. Still think it’s too late for his career unless maybe public opinion really swings in his favour.

If journos are getting involved I reckon Rob Shepherd should lead the defence. A man not afraid to hold his hands up should the situation arise.

Re: Paqueta Charged
MrTrentReznor The bookies will always seek to minimise any potential losses so even having £50 quid on a 66/1 is likely to trigger some kind of response and a odds have changed warning. I have started splitting my stake on multiple bets now. the same bets but half stakes x 2 as I was forever getting price changes & reduced odds when attempting to place them. It also allows you to cash out one side and keep the other going and reduces the chance of going over the maximum payout threshold in the unlikely event all your selections win. A very shrewd pal of mine managed to take 45k from Bet 365 last year on 4x £10 trebles and acca. They have now reduced him to £2 stakes and 20p.multiples He wasn't to bothered as he went and got the scoop 6 up a couple of weeks after (8.5k) He still won't buy a drink

"Trent, send a message to this bloke ⬇ https://caanberry.com/ He's done videos on William Hill in the past year, one watched over two million times. Let him what they're up to, any negativity towards them is a good thing"
Re: Paqueta Charged
The bookmakers must make good money offering these bets. If they didn’t they wouldn’t offer them. They don’t like it if you actually win something though… certainly want to have their cake and eat it.
