Euro 2024 - Inc Southgate resignation
"We seem to have an England v Bosnia thread but not an actual Euro 2024 thread so here it is So, do we realistically think England can win it? On paper we obviously have a very talented squad but I just don't see us going all the way. For me it's ""same old"" when it comes to England. Breeze the group, favourable draw in last 16 and win then up against far superior opposition in the QFs and out. At best I can see us at the SF stage before being beaten again. Winners for me: France, Portugal, Spain Dark horses: Germany - even though it's a home tournament they've been in a consolidation period, could go close Biggest flops: Scotland - no goals scored Top goalscorer: Mbappe I'm just hoping it's a decent tournament with plenty of decent games that's not ruined by VAR (are they using it?) consolidation period but could go close"

Re: Euro 2024
"I said before they flew out there that we have the players to do really well but not the manager. He has no imagination or courage, goes safety first every time."
Re: Euro 2024
"If TAA played for an unfashionable club, he'd hardly get a look in but because he plays for the black armband merchants, he gets wanked off by Waistcoat, I mean his defensive abilities are atrocious as seen in the Serbia game. Turn it in Southgate you fucking idiot."

"Manuel He was just as overly defensive answering as his own managerial style, the spikey prick. Crook has obviously hit a raw nerve there and comes as no surprise.. As for Trent again, do fuck off Southgate!"

Re: Euro 2024
It was obvious that TAA was completely out of his depth when Serbia got a bit of control The left side was moribund with the right footed left back & Foden ineffective Didn’t help that Kane had one touch in a first half where England were dominant for 35 mins. But we are told that he was doing a good job! Same again then !
Re: Euro 2024
"Trent is square pegs in round holes , what a surprise we are back doing this again . Always fails . Not a mid don't look a mid and our right side is so weak if saka plays with his as the plan."

"If it is the same team then aside from Shaw this is obviously Southgate's eleven, if it goes OK tonight he'll revert back to it for the last 16 game and make changes against Slovenia."

Re: Euro 2024
"He truly is a vile, arrogant man who has no place in today's game. He was on Talksport and when Alex Cross was referring to Southgate's previous mistakes in tournaments Moyes just scoffed and come out with that real arrogance and told Cross he's the expert then and he should get his coaching badges, but it backfired on the dense prick as now he's being mocked along the lines of if you haven't got your coaching badges you can't have an opinion. If anything good has come out of having this fraud at the Euro's is that others can now see what the majority of West Ham fans were getting so wound up about. I see Leicester are speaking to Cooper, zero interest in Moyes and rightly so."

Re: Euro 2024
I guess with Germany’s location it is quite central in Western Europe so it’s a reasonable journey by train from a lot of the competing countries Not sure how many tickets go to away fans in the German games but most games seem to have had big representation from both countries which makes for a good atmosphere Have heard a few stories about the train service in Germany not working the best with long delays.

Re: Euro 2024
"So if Scotland beat Hungary they will be in the last of the Euro's for the first time ever, meaning it would be seen as a success. That said, Hungary ain't that bad and would probably fancy them more than the sweats. Southgate hinting at a few changes due to preserving energy etc, I'm thinking Callagher will NOT come in as it will be seen as too negative, so maybe Mainoo or even Palmer. Southgate made a decent point that there are thousands more fans at the games from other countries in this tournament making it feel less like a ;'home game', wonder why that would be? but I suppose Germany is a great country to visit for a tournament as opposed to some other nations in Europe, England being one."

Re: Euro 2024
"To be honest Switzerland aren’t much better You’d be keen to play whoever qualifies behind Germany in the next round …. even the 2nd team let alone the 3rd Believe if England win their group they play the best 3rd placed team from the groups with France,Belgium & Portugal in. Could be Poland, Slovakia or Czech maybe"

Re: Euro 2024
Scotland are utter shite. How on Earth did they qualify? There is no way Switzerland aren't winning this. The gulf in class between the two teams is embarrassing for the JOCKS.

Re: Euro 2024
BillyJenningsBoots 10:39 Wed Jun 19 The reason everyone's untested is because Southgate insisted on playing the same players for the pointless friendlies and during the hopeless Nations League campaign as opposed to using those games to try out alternatives. Because he's a cսnt
