Euro 2024 - Inc Southgate resignation
"We seem to have an England v Bosnia thread but not an actual Euro 2024 thread so here it is So, do we realistically think England can win it? On paper we obviously have a very talented squad but I just don't see us going all the way. For me it's ""same old"" when it comes to England. Breeze the group, favourable draw in last 16 and win then up against far superior opposition in the QFs and out. At best I can see us at the SF stage before being beaten again. Winners for me: France, Portugal, Spain Dark horses: Germany - even though it's a home tournament they've been in a consolidation period, could go close Biggest flops: Scotland - no goals scored Top goalscorer: Mbappe I'm just hoping it's a decent tournament with plenty of decent games that's not ruined by VAR (are they using it?) consolidation period but could go close"

Re: Euro 2024
"Only the most blindly faithful or stupid can surely think England will beat Switzerland unless there’s some sort of miracle improvement. Because he’s not going to approach it in any sort of a different manner. It’ll be more of the same ‘system’. If trippier is injured it might actually be to our benefit if there is someone left footed to drop in who wants to actually do it. But he will plug away with the same formation, players and ‘tactics’ and just hope for something different like the stubborn fool he is. If we beat them it’ll probably be by blind luck rather than any sort of plan. However that was a taster of what awaits if we somehow get to the final. Them or someone who beats them. No chance."

Switzerland are better than Slovakia so England will need an improvement Spain v Germany will be a great game. Winners likely to be favourites to win it

Re: Euro 2024
Incredible. Through on nothing but absolute luck. Guess it‚Äôs better to be lucky than good sometimes. What‚Äôs sad is that this in his mind will reinforce his way of doing things. He actually had the front to say ‚Äòthat is why you don‚Äôt make changes when people are clamouring for changes‚Äô. He‚Äôs not willing one jot to learn his lesson. Let‚Äôs face it there was absolutely zero reasoning for almost all the subs. He was throwing shit at the wall at random and seeing what stuck. Oh yeah and that little selfish cսnt Saka can fuck off. Bowen would have chewed Southgate‚Äôs hand off to go play left back. Saka is bloody lucky that for whatever reason he seems unstoppable. He‚Äôs been very underwhelming so far.
Re: Euro 2024
I've rarely seen a worse manager in all my years of watching football. Incredibly useless cսnt and if he puts out the same shit team with several players once again playing out of position the average Swiss will piss all over us.

Re: Euro 2024
Gaffer58 Southgate is not a very cautious manager. He’s an out and out fucking coward. Doesn’t have a brave bone in his body. What he does have is a massive dose of luck.
Re: Euro 2024
"Another poor Foden appearance for England. Switzerland will be a much tougher out than Slovakia were. Southgate has to put Gordon out left and Palmer needs to start too, he played well when he came on."

Re: Euro 2024
"So when we were one down and needed a goal t takes Southgate ages in the second half to make a substitution, yet as soon as we’re leading it only takes him minutes to take off the 2 goalscores and park the bus. He is obviously a very cautious manager, in fact he even make s look exciting."

Re: Euro 2024
"Nothing to lose , am sure they will have a go Georgia … population of 3.7m Scotland …. population of 5.5m & reckon they are too small to compete"
Re: Euro 2024
Fuck me Southgate is one clueless but hugely lucky cսnt. Even when they finally found some momentum he retreats & defends the one goal lead. Switzerland will not be as kind if England plays like that.
