Re: Glastonbury 2024
Just woke up from the post glasto nap. Top 5 days but the music as others have pointed out was a bit naff. The djs make up for it and plenty of west ham shirts out and about. Massive.

Re: Glastonbury 2024
Bungo- well quite. It's probably the biggest annual gathering of the middle or upper class in the whole world. It must be an absolute goldmine. And I bet your son wasn't turfing out hot dogs for two quid a pop either! Good luck to him by the way- nice to hear he had a successful weekend :) What sort of stuff does he do?

McSvender that is a Scottish tradition for those in their 80’s you seem to have an obsession with that age…..do you live with Supergran?

McSvender is so thick that he has to move the age goalposts age from 80’s to 30’s because he gets mugged off…..

"Leaving aside the quality of performance, one thing I have realised is that a major qualifying factor for the Sunday afternoon 'legends' spot, is that the act should be held in great affection by the British public. Not sure if Shania Twain ticks that box?"

"I was surprised to read that old George Formby was dead at 56 - even the Britpop kids Noel and Damon have already reached that, and many legends are hitting 80 ."

"Those bands are in their 60’s & Liam Gallagher in his 50’s Anyone under 30? Hope I die before I get old, eh?"

Re: Glastonbury 2024
Cracks me up ow the BBC are so far up the arse of this festival they declare as default every single act to have basically been as good as Queen at Live aid in their write ups. They even did it with Cyndi Lauper after she played apparently an awful set and then later reworded it to 'beset by technical problems' or something.

Re: Glastonbury 2024
It’s a struggle to think of bands who aren’t 80yo that could fill those headline slots without being a bit safe Am sure in the next few years Coldplay will come round for a 6th time & you will see Taylor Swift & the Ginger George Formby Edward Sheeran

Re: Glastonbury 2024
"As soon as the BBC got involved it has morphed from Radio 1’s Evening Session into the Radio 1 Road Show That being said, Coldplay did put on a hell of a show. Not really my cup of tea but the crowd lapped it up and that what the band is supposed to to do. Unfortunately there just isn’t many headline acts anymore that can play shows to that size. All those that can have been on the circuit for years so they always come round again"

"Agreed ref Dua . One hot Albanian. As for Coldplay. The fact it’s 2024 not 2002 and they are headlining on Saturday just shows you the state the current music scene. Pretty much everything I heard was generic middle of the road crap, might as well book Taylor Swift for the Pyramid next year. Need some music revolution like the late 70s and punk."

Re: Glastonbury 2024
Saw Coldplay on the news with the likes of Tom Cruise & Simon Pegg on the celeb viewing platform Those platforms should be exclusively for disabled fans not those cunts & corporate twats. And that fenced off area in the front of the stage should be stormed by the people excluded

Re: Glastonbury 2024
Proper shit this festival not one real hard rock band Dua Lipa miming Cyndi Lauper out of tune. £350 not worth a tenner.

"Managed to sit though 2.5 songs of Coldplay. Corporate bland stuff. I belive michael j fox appeared later on stage with them. Did Martin really sing , Fix You, to him? I usually pick up plenty of bits to enjoy, but finding this year's pretty uninspiring so far."
