Re: Callum Marshall
"Corberan clearly doesn't fancy him... WBA must have watched him so that doesnt make sense, but I'm really not sure what he can do to 'merit' his place. Did he need to score in his first 20 minute sub appearance to warrant another chance? And don't tell me he's obviously not stepping up in training Like many I'd have sooner seen Earthy and Scarles come on at 4-1 against Brentford. Seems Corberan is similarly prejudiced. Wrong club for him though, no one can argue with that"

Re: Callum Marshall
"Not sure Marshall should be starting if it's not merited? the boy has to win his place, not be given it regardless. If he's at a club at a lower level than the PL and on the bench unused West Ham should be questioning his ability as much as the Coventry management not starting him or using him as a sub. Should have been sent out in the first place? he's 19, so still very young but also an age when you need to be stepping up from Youth level, not like 19-year-olds are not playing in the PL!"

Re: Callum Marshall
Not sure if he has been injured but saw Gideon Kodua finally started for Wycombe at Stevenage Unfortunately was sacrificed just after half time when the keeper got sent off Freddie Potts an unused sub
Re: Callum Marshall
"Jaan Kenbrovin 7:56 Sat Feb 24 Not sure I agree. He was training with our first team squad a fair bit mate... and would have been more likely to have done so, and to have featured in more matchday squads, after Jimmy and Benny left. Opinions and all that though"
Re: Callum Marshall
"York, I doubt Ben Johnson would get a game at left wing for West Brom, yet he does with West Ham. If you want to give Moyes credit for not playing Marshall, I’ll raise you with why is it West Brom have better left wing options than West Ham? The answer is because your favourite ever manager sold two of our options, and stubbornly won’t play the other."

Re: Callum Marshall
"onsideman 10:03 Wed Feb 21 He is training in the first team and preparing for match day squads of a top 5 championship club. That’ll be a greater experience than our u21’s. Obviously it would have been better to send him to a club that would give him more game time, but there is still time for him to prove himself. It’s a big challenge towards his goal of breaking through here. I don’t think he’ll be worse for the experience. Hopefully any frustration will spur him on."
Re: Callum Marshall
"Yorkammer 6:29 Sat Feb 24 Ok, I'll bite. It was either pro-Moyes - in as much as you imply he has been vindicated in not having played him - or anti- Marshall, implying he wasn't good enough anyway"

Re: Callum Marshall
As said by other posters he should have gone to a div 1 or 2 club and at 19 years of age should now be playing regularly
Re: Callum Marshall
"He's been let down by the club and his representatives imho and it will set him back I'd imagine Your attempt to turn it into a pro-Moyes development is both childish and pathetic tho, Yorkammer"
Re: Callum Marshall
Plenty on here thought Moyes should be playing him. How does that reconcile with not being able to get into a Championship team?

Re: Callum Marshall
"I'm sure the manager of West Brom would play Marshall if he thought he would improve his team currently in the play off positions. It's hard for all young lads to make it as pros but he won't do that by having himself removed from a loan because he can't displace any of West Brom's strikers. I know that it's a new theory for us at WH where we are used to not having a back up striker. Or even a striker worthy of the name. Some managers other than Moyes, have young loans in case of injuries or to throw on for a late goal. Not to further the career of an unproven player. Marshall needs to bang one or two in when the moment arrives and not to get withdrawn...."
Re: Callum Marshall
"They still have to be within the transfer window. You can terminate a loan in January for a player who joined in the summer, like we did with Mipo Odupeko."
Re: Callum Marshall
Erm... I'm confused. I'm always hearing about players being recalled early from loans spells due to lack of playing time and didn't you say early terminations are possible but only after 28 days?
Re: Callum Marshall
"Be on the blower for what? Literally nothing that can be done about it. He's there for the rest of the season, even if he doesn't play another game."
Re: Callum Marshall
I honestly don't think anyone would have criticised a move to a League 1 side. Most of us remember Defoe's exploits at Bournemouth (think it was actually 9 in a row) and we saw what Marshall could do against men at that level in the EFL Trophy or whatever it's called. They should be on the blower now imho
