The bloke was standing in an offside position right in Fabianski's eyeline. Not even Liverpool or Man Utd. Could get given a goal for that one.

Fantastic result. We had to win. And we did. News on Bowen? Manager now being exposed for zero squad rotation. We will limp across the line but enjoy an away win.

"VAR and the gale force wind motms? ;-) Actually Moyes has one trait I admire. He’s one fvcking lucky manager. Just when you think he’s finally done he eeks out a win. 2nd half more attacking formation with Emerson pushing forward from deep, JWP deeper helped and Soucek had to be replaced as u cant have him and JWP in the midfield and he was invisible for a lot of the first half. Moyes got the selections and tactics all wrong first half but fair play, he deserves credit for getting the subs correct and bringing some balance to the side as well as plugging a few holes in that 2nd half and finally getting us to play on the proverbial “front foot”. Emerson was the my MOTM for us. Great going forward. Johnson has a rickett in him but he did make a difference as did the presence of Antonio 2nd half. Kudus and Paqueta had off days by their standards but still key players. Zouma, Dinos were solid. Lets hope we are entering a streak of good fortune for Thurs because we will really miss Alvarez again"

"Fantastic win and all 3 points in the bag. OK, it was due to a freak flukey goal via the wind that was never intended as a shot and a disallowed goal at the end which should have stood but we'll take it nonetheless. Relying on set pieces is what we do. Wolves seemed to be far more badly effected by the injury loss of the impressive Ait-nouri than we did Bowen going off thankfully and due to a lengthy injury list O'Neil had to rely on a bunch of inexperienced kids."

"Great win that. That’ll hopefully quiten the wanky lot this week. To win that in front of a Europa quarter final isn’t an easy ask, it’s an easy game to look past. Moysies boys have got me Dave dreaming!"

About time it went out way. Only downside was the Geordies getting a late winner.
