I’m not sure scamaca is better for us than kudus tbh. The issue isn’t the personnel we have. It’s how we play them. We have proven goal scorers at the club. Ings and Cornet for example. But how does he choose to play them? I noticed that Kudus was defending most of the game. Why not leave both kudus and Antonio on the half way line? We would have killed them doing that. But it’s just not the Moyes way. It was funny hear Savage constantly praising our defensive solidity but if he’d bothered to look at the stats he’d realise we pretty much ALWAYS concede. If that’s our main trick it’s not that successful is it? We have the players to play differently. All our players are internationals. They could play any system. He’s just chosen this one. I’m not saying we would should leverkusen away. But I am saying that looking how the game was and noticing Antonio could out run their defence I’d have adjusted it to give us an extra attacker knowing that it’s highly unlikely we were not going to concede.

"Those substitutions? Takes off our only effective outlet on the night, Kudus forJohnson, and just swaps like for like with a CB. He did not react to their subs, as soon as Bonniface comes on Cresswell has to come off for Ogbonna or Aguerd. That fuck up alone cost us the 2nd goal."

We were an embarrassment. That Jock cսnt just strangles our flair and the players must fucking hate him. He HAS to go! I‚Äôm going next week (almost under sufferance as it‚Äôll cost me the best part of ¬£200 just to get there). But; as an Iron there‚Äôs part of me that still hopes. COYI. We can get rid of the jock cսnt soon enough.

Christ knows what Paqueta was thinking with that tackle. Defended well until the goals. Fab produced some good saves. Really do lack options with this squad.

"'Cultural fit' is a term that's often fuzzy and unclear but is widely used in employment circles. It essentially means whether a job candidate shares a company's (football club's) values and goals. David Moyes is not a cultural fit for our club. The way he sets up teams, doesn't make substitutions, fails to integrate the kids, is all counter to the we see ourselves and the club. Even if we had come away fro Leverkusen with a narrow win it would have been a terrible watch. As it was, it was painful viewing and we lost."

"Twoleftfeet ""Not having this shit about Scammacca, his own manager criticised him recently and he has 8 goals in 23 games. Im happy to criticise Moyes tonight but to say Scammacca would have made a difference is bullshit."" 8 goals and 3 assists in 23 League games 5 goals in 7 Europa League games Atalanta are currently 6th fighting for a Champions League spot and 1 now foot in the Europa Semi Finals because of Scamacca more than playing his part in his debut season for Atalanta. 100% Scamacca could have been the difference for us if played right. Even when held back by Moyes he still had a positive influence like in the Europa Conference last season for us. Moyes big time fucked up selling him but no, far too many fell for Moyes bollocks about him being the issue and unable to adapt. The only thing he struggled to adapt too was Moyes super defensive football."

"Setting up defensively for certain games like tonight make sense, but not virtually every game. The thing is we aren't even good at it anymore as we can't stop conceding goals, it's been proven that we are better when playing on the front foot, and proven that we concede goals when we try to defend for 90 mins yet he keeps doing it. I'll say it again, Paqueta is a fucking moron. Emerson's booking wasn't even a foul let alone a booking!"

"Tonight was a carbon copy of every other away game this season, only with 5 defenders instead of 4. I think we ended up with about 7 defenders on the pitch. Embarrassing excuse for ‘football’, it’s just a meek surrender. It wasn’t great defending, it was ten men behind the ball without any intention of scoring. Hopefully this is the end of Moyesball."

I am not sure what our manager sees or thinks and haven’t for a fucking long time. No shock this evening.

"It was almost a dogged 0-0 but the best team won and the reality is that Moyes believes we’re not good enough to give teams like this a go. We don’t have the squad to change anything from the bench either. Because of Moyes. Leverkusen are just a better side than us, fitter, and actually want to play football. The tie isn’t over but it will take a minor miracle to turn it around. Paqueta can be brilliant but he was always going to get a yellow tonight because he’s a fucking stupid prick at times too. It’s been a brilliant three years in Europe but we need to try to move on from where we are now, with a manager who wants to play decent football, who doesn’t see us as the courageous underdogs all the time and who also likes to have a squad bigger than 14."

"Ron yeah I know but rather than sit back for no reason at all at home to Burnley Moyes or no Moyes we were just not good enough and pushed back away team 42 games unbeaten, and on for a treble this year. Im no Moyes fan and hate the negative football but I reckon if we had gone for it we would have got done four or five. They didn't give the ball away and we can't keep hold of it so if it had stayed 1-0 that would have been an acceptable result. If we had gone to Bayern Munich and lost 1-0 People would have said it was a good result, this season this lot are better than Munich . I just don't see how we could have won that by going for it they are a far better side."

Was looking at the Livescore stats 33 shots to 1 73% possession v 27% 2-0 is getting off lightly Without Paqueta & Emerson ... & possibly still Bowen you struggle to see any way back

"Fauxstralian ""Tops it off that Liverpool could be going out after 2 Scamacca goals The day after the striker that won the AFCON scores in a Champions League quarter final Shame they both were deemed useless by Moyes"" It appears pretty much all his former attacking players deemed surplus to Moyes requirements are coming back to haunt him. It was only last Thursday that Benrahma played an important role in assisting 1 of the Lyon goals in a 3-0 to reach the French Cup final facing PSG next month. Haller scoring yesterday again after his battle back from cancer, Scamacca tonight, Fornals the other one doing it for Real Betis. Yep, must be just a funny old coincidence that they all perform the second they leave Moyes defensive, dated tactical genius. What a waste of genuine class attacking talent we've had and still have when you think what Paqueta, Bowen and Kudus have still managed to achieve for us in a super defensive set-up. Be lucky to even keep Bowen now as can see Kudus also following Paqueta out the door this summer, unless Steidtens able to perform a miracle keeping him sweet."
