Would have taken two goals at the start. Just annoying the goals came late. Not sure we need to score early but the second leg will be much more open. We will get chances. Just depends how many we put away.

"It's game over the second goal finished us off, does anyone seriously think we're going to beat Leverkusen by three clear goals next week We had one fucking attempt the whole game and that was in the opening minutes, as pathetic as it gets."

2 0 we're still.in it The 2nd goal was the kicker I felt. 95 mins! Argh. It's really set in their favour especially with no Paqueta for 2nd leg. We'll need a slice of luck similar to what Frankfurt had against us in the semi. You never know!

Really feel for all those fans who spent hundreds to watch that game. Nothing to cheer. An absolute surrender of a performance. Of course they are a good side but we played like a total embarrassment. It's really hard to see any positive. I've spent hundreds to watch the home leg. I dont care whether the score is 2 nil or 6 nil I want them the play football and not get I n amuddle.

The dwarf and Moyes caused tonight. The second dwarf decided to sell fornals and benrhama. Against Moyes and steitdens judgement. Moyes should have discovered his spine and threatened to resign . Sullivan like all bullies needs to be faced down . Moyes caved in absolutely pitiful.

"I am pretty sure we can score against Leverkusen next week but I am certain that they will score against us. The stats don’t lie, we are bound to concede, so like Liverpool we go out at the quarter final stage."

Mad Dog - Fab made a few good saves but most of the shots you would expect any keeper at this level to save. Kudus probably had the best chance.

"I’m not happy about how we were set up. On this occasion, with the players available, I think it was justifiable. The lack of game management and lack of options on the bench is one of the same thing. Like I said, that part is down to Moyes. We have a lack of depth in the squad because the manager only knows one way of playing, falls out with players and doesn’t trust youth."

"https://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/premier-league/best-defence.html We are the 16th best defensive team in the league according to stats. It’s funny how we’re always perceived as some defensive masters! I think it’s because we’ve done some counter attacking jobs on the very big teams and everyone’s watched them and it’s just stuck as a reputation. The reality is we are a shit defensive team and get away with it because our attackers are really good. Youd think with good attackers we’d concentrate on bolstering that and improving our ability to score. But we do the opposite and continue to play a low block, counter attack game even though on paper we aren’t actually that good at it. Strange really."

"As somebody said, they will more than likely score, so it’ll be an extremely difficult ask. Looked like we might hang in there, but that second goal was the real kicker. And Liverpool as good as out too."

Iron. Yea we can blame moyes. Yes it ALMOST worked. But it didn't. Again. Sailing close to the definition of madness. Their subs came on and got the job done We brought on 2 defenders to protect a 1-0 deficit and still conceded another. Yes leverkusen are good but I just don't see why we keep inviting teams in

"It's not the way we set up tonight, that was okay for the occasion, it's the lack of game management and options on the bench when our players are tiring, Antonio is completely isolated and ineffective, and their manager makes changes. Moyes completly failed to manage the end of the game, no point defending well for 80 mins then conceding late goals, that and the lack of quality and options on the bench is all down to him."

Yes. That’s the keeper’s job to stand in the way of shots that are straight at him.

"Even though they had 33 shots, most of them were speculative efforts from distance. They didn’t really look like scoring, then got one through a crowd of bodies. I suppose that can happen if you try enough. The second goal was a sickener. It’s going to be difficult in the second leg, especially without Paqueta and Emerson, and maybe Bowen. We have to go for it, and the supporters need to make it a special atmosphere. I can’t blame Moyes for how we set up. I’m not sure what else he could have done, and it almost worked. The lack of options on the bench is all on him though. Still, looking forward to next week. Cheer up you miserable cunts."
