"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?

"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Doc prescribed AD's after Mrs BC went up to the pearly gates over 10 years ago and taking them ever since.only major downside is stop taking them for a week or so and like a junkie without a fix. Never did non prescribed drugs so ignorant of drug addiction but without realising am addicted to them.

I did the same with antipsychotics which I was taking for 18 months. I had to wean myself off of them and I had broken sleep for months that was June 17 I was reluctant to take antidepressants about this time last year. I took 4 in December 19 and had pains around my liver. I googled conflicts with the meds I was taking and I read do not take with any meds you are taking for heart and so had stop Always check for any conflict with any medication you are given yourself via google as doctors do not have time to check

Hardest thing I found about the chemical option is that it made me emotionally numb... both good and bad emotions It stopped the lows but also the highs. It was hard to feel angry / frustrated / happy or excited. That's why I had to get off them I did it for 3/4/5 months and tapered off and was able to know warning signs / when I needed to immerse myself around friends / family

"Billy Blagg 1:30 Thu Sep 3 B I resisted on the same basis thinking I was able to ""tough it out"". I gave in and after about 2 or 3 weeks felt completely different. The sick dark feeling was gone and I was able to get back on track. I then came off after about 6 months. That was 7 yrs ago but everything going on at the moment means I am back on them."

"I've been going through it since I lost Lady B just over two years ago. I've tried everything bar the chemical solution which I'm reluctant to do as I feel I should be able to 'cope' and I worry that I may never come off them if they work. In answer to your question, sadly NO."

"hope to god Roberto never plays for us again. Look for the things that make you happy and grab hold of them for as long as you can. Even if it is for a minute or two a day. Those moments get longer and longer. Get to sleep by 11 pm no lights and wake up at a decent time and get out in daylight first thing. It seriously helps. Walk around get exercise, we were made to keep on the move about 10-12km a day, it helps your mood seriously."

I wouldnt recommend either. I was diagnosed in my 40's after having symptoms since 12/13yrs old. Been off meds for years but going back on as I've hit the titwobbles again. I recognise my symptoms and manage them but everything thats happening at the moment is a bit too much. I've been beaten this time nothing like watching your life's work go down the toilet.

"yeh the main reason to bring a kid into the world is to give you focus, definitely. I hope they grow up to despise you and everything about you even more then everyone who knows you already does."
