Looks like he's gone
Areola, Wan Bissaka, Mavro, Kilman, Emerson, Rodriguez, Alvarez, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen, Antonio.
Can't be too sad with the selection at least.

I just hope Fullkrug remembers to tweak the fuck out of his lug holes today to the point of almost ripping them off after his sluggish start to the season. I wanna see those battling qualities and clinical finishing I know he's capable of.

Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
Going by Casey & Scarles exclusion from the U21 team last night, I could see him finally trying a 3-6-1/3-4-3 formation with the back three of Mav, Todibo and Kilman. I think it only works if AWB starts and we have more technically sound players ahead of Alvarez/Rodriguez. Of course my dislike of this system is because certain coaches can let it slip in to a 5-4-1 with the two holding players, but I hope Loppy shows a bit more ambition than that and keeps Tomas as an impact Sub

He’s rapidly running out of excuses to start with a Moyesball team. If he does today, he’s basically asking for it.
Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
My fear is the he’ll play Alvarez, Rodriguez and soucek (no 10). With paqueta on left, kudus on right and Bowen up top. Basically back to moyesball with an upgraded defence.
Ill go for a spirited but 1-3

Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
We are not going to match let alone out possess City with the ball. However if jalopy chooses an eleven that plays in a way that poses a reasonable attacking threat I will be happier than when watching the supine, submissive, performances offered up by Moyes against the top teams.

If we could keep it under 3 I’d be happy.
I was trying to listen to Loppys press conference but I gave up, I know he said something about trawlers, fish and the sea

We will have to accept that Soucek will start again so hard to see past our usual defeat? You need 10 outfiekd players to help keep the ball when u get yhe chance against this lot and to stop the supply to Haarland and be able to press their midfield assuming we are bot adopting the “Alamo” tactics of Moyes “low block” anymore? Cant do it with a player who cant get near the opposition or pass accurately imo
Soucek as an out and out forward ( battering ram ) might be the inly wsy to effectively use him?

Very tempted to triple captain Haaland. If we set up anything like the first two games then they’ll just play through us.
guess we’ll find out a lot about Lopetegui today.

I remember Norwich turning this lot over a couple of seasons ago when they were bottom of the PL so never say never and we are due one of those days when we turn up and put a “big” club to the sword.
You know it makes sense!

Don’t hold out a lot of hope for this one, but I’d love a surprise.
Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
I keep trying to listen to his pressers, but I keep zoning out. Then I check myself and think, “just listen, it’s only a few minutes”, but a few seconds later I am glazing over. He is so boring. Our most boring manager ever?

Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
I think this is going one of two way. Either our heads kicked in or a shock result (3-2 thriller type) for us. Former is the more likely given defensive problems but we are headed into a FIFA break where we usually do quite well at the beginning of the season and then lose 1 or 2 key players to injury with their national teams.
Someone has to beat these cunts during the season, and it might as well be us tomorrow.

I fancy a shock result for us in this fixture, possibly a win.
1-0
1-0
Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
You'd think so. But on the past two outings Fulkrug has been doing the same.
Re: West Ham United vs Manchester City (EPL) | Match Thread
Antonio standing around watching the game being played around him is doing my head in. Surely Fullkrug would love the chance to put in the extra effort and get on the score sheet against City.

Wan Bissaka Mavropanos Kilman Emerson
Rodriguez
Alvarez Paqueta
Bowen Antonio KudusI'm guessing this will be close to the team we'll see. Though, I do think he'll drop one of that line up to shoehorn Soucek in the starting team.
If he starts with Soucek, I’ll start to get worried
