Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"The Building Societies' history is actually a fascinating story about how capitalism can work in favour of the cooperating members of a group, who are able to realise their interest to become property owners. https://www.bsa.org.uk/information/consumer-factsheets/general/the-history-of-building-societies No place for knuckle-dragging gammon reactionaries here though, oh dear what a shame too bad never mind."

"‘the Halifax, with its Building Society traditions, is perhaps a rare example of healthy capitalism.' I’d say the £245m scam at their Reading branch would suggest otherwise."

"He/She/They were adopting the de facto face of Halifax in making that post. Perhaps a little comeback is exactly the thing required here - something like ""Fuck off out of our company and don't come back"" might get the message across"

"Cheers Pointy - our view a of capitalism will tend to differ, largely because you fill in Excel spreadsheets for a corporation and I have to be successful as a risk-taking capitalist."

"It was a public response on Twitter - it's not about any official ""line"". Just an admin feeling empowered to tell people to take their money away if they're bigots [I'm paraphrasing] - it's an example of how certain things are accepted as bigotry by the woke and therefore they feel they can just say things like this without any comeback."

"Hammer and Pickle 5:24 Thu Jun 30 'the Halifax, with its Building Society traditions, is perhaps a rare example of healthy capitalism.' The British building society movement (and the associated Friendly Societies) was a rare example of successful collectivism, not capitalism, you utter dolt."

Re: Woke watch
I can't actually believe this message got past the PR management team unless there's an under-story. Maybe they're about to announce that they are technically insolvent and a run on the non-woke bank customers closing account holders will cover/explain that and buy them more time.

Re: Woke watch
The issue with Halifax isn't the badges in itself. It's the reaction of the Twitter admin who felt comfortable in implying anyone criticising it was a bigot including their own customers and suggesting they move their cash elsewhere.

"Was/were are verb forms and the Halifax, with its Building Society traditions, is perhaps a rare example of healthy capitalism. They could have gained as many clients as they’ve lost over this. Good company."

"Wokers have access to a magical money tree called ""Somewhere"". No more need for tax-creating efficient businesses an the people employed therein, all the money they ever want will come from ""Somewhere"". Those with the ""wrong"" attitude can't even see this tree, let alone have access to it's fruits, low-hanging or otherwise."
