I must admit I have always found Humphrey irritating & Hipgrave has been an improvement when I have seen her hosting. Just as i have often said that Gabby Logan is a far superior (and much cheaper) host of MOTD instead of Lineker. That said Humphrey says he will front the Champions league coverage and reckons he will do SOME Premier league games but didnt want to commit to being the lead host. I have no problem with females hosting but when you have 'expert' commentators I dont think someone who has played womens football is qualified in front of the MYRIAD of ex-footballers Premier league & international available. Just as you wouldnt appoint some ex National League or League 2 player to give HIS opinion on Pep's tactics or what Liverpool are doing in a Champions league match. If BT are having a rethink they could start by ditching the dismal Michael Owen & Paul 'Eeyore' Scholes from their panels. Rio Ferdinand is on thin ice too for me.

Mr Rees-Mogg told Sky News: “I think ensuring that you have diversity within employment is the job of the people making the employment decisions, not somebody who is employed as a diversity officer.” He added: “I think that you need to inculcate this in the people making the employment decisions and in the civil service commission to ensure that you are employing the best people from a range of backgrounds.” Rees-Mogg accuses Civil Service of running 'nonsense' training programmes The minister said that the Civil Service is guilty of running “nonsense” training programmes for its staff as he referred to one initiative called “Check Yo Privilege”. He asked: “Why is the civil service wasting people’s time with a course that doesn’t help people do their jobs better?” Mr Rees-Mogg was told that the Government may not get very far on improving diversity in Whitehall by axing the roles, but he disagreed. He said: “Yes, because I don’t believe they are doing anything useful. I don’t believe they are adding to the diversity of the civil service. "Civil servants obstructed attempts by a minister to get to the bottom of events at the Tavistock child gender identity clinic, it has been alleged. Kemi Badenoch, former equalities minister, claimed that officials told her not to meet whistleblowers and child patients while undermining her enquiries with leaks. On Thursday, it was announced that the NHS would be shutting down the London-based transgender clinic after a review found it is not safe for children. The decision was a response to the interim Cass review, which warned that medics had felt “under pressure to adopt an unquestioning affirmative approach” to gender identity. The review by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass also raised concerns about the use of puberty-blocking drugs. ‘Harrowing’ testimony from young people Speaking to GB News on Saturday, Ms Badenoch said she was “so happy” the centre was closing having heard “harrowing” testimony from young people treated there. “What happened at the Tavistock was a very serious child-welfare failure, where children were being given experimental treatment that retarded their development,” she said. Ms Badenoch said she recalled “official advice, government officials telling me not to meet the clinicians who are whistleblowers, telling me not to meet the children ... who had received treatment there, and having to fight so much”. She added that when she started “asking questions”, meeting minutes would suddenly “get leaked” and “mysterious” freedom of information requests would be submitted trying to get details from whistleblowers. “I think it’s very hard to do the right thing now because there’s so much obstruction and that’s something that we need to fix,” she added."
