His primary defence is that its the BBC that owe the money, not him. But I'm sure that doesn't factor into the BBCs thoughts on lineker, they're an entirely objective and well run organisation. I'm equally sure that the fact the reason he argues that they owe the money and not him is that he isn't an employee of theirs, doesn't factor into his actions here. The simple fact is that Lineker’s contract with the BBC is very clear about impartiality and expressing his personal political views. He’s clearly broken that contract & been punished.
