Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"Fo the Communist 2:10 Sat Mar 11 Re: Woke watch I don’t know the answer but is it FACT that Lineker broke his contract SKY do a pretty good explainer on it if you can be bothered to go find it. Effectively says that even those that work freelance are expected to uphold bbc values and policies. So sufficiently grey for both sides to dig in on their positions. Which, conveniently, also happens to be the position of both sides in the ongoing appeal into his tax affairs. More fool Bristol Rovers and anyone else who thinks they stand with him on anything other than his own ongoing dispute with HMRC and the BBC about who owes five million quid."

"Linekar gave up those ""rights"" while contracted to the impartial BBC. Anyone stuck up a karaoke version of James Taylor's ""You've got a Friend"", for Gary yet? Seems about what's expected."

"Exactly mim, Hitler/Nazi’s/the politely loaded version ‘1930’s Germany’ is now the new racist card….it all becomes a bit weaker in its message when Lineker uses it as he has done…..he should know better…..waste of a good point…."

"Kaiser Zoso 10:37 Sat Mar 11 Re: Woke watch Did your accusers have a contract of employment that specified that they are absolutely not allowed to call you a fat bald Nazi div, Soldo? Come on Ronnie up your game... You missed out Racist & Democrat. Too be fair Stewie Lineker has taken in a few Ukranian refugees so probably no room at the inn. The thing is this is where you need to know your 'istory... people hear 1930's Nazi Germany and have a meltdown... Ooooh Treblinka.... Ooooh Belsen... Look if you are talking early 1930's Germany then wasn't such a bad place... I mean look at their autobahns... shits all over our old A1... and the Berlin Olympics didn't look so bad... but GRANTED after Kristallnacht it started to get a bit nawty.... anyway... know your 'istory..."

Re: Woke watch
It’s not the same ‘right’ though is Raaaaaaaaay what did Corbyn do to make Sugar turn his back on Labour? Just because Lineker let it go with Corbyn and his Labour Party it doesn’t mean he has the right to use it for a dumbed down version so he can shock the public. Put into context of each other and then come back to us Raaaaaaaaaaaaaay…..

"The brown stuff is really hitting the fan now.. Bristol Rovers have become one of the first to address the controversy directly. Writing on Twitter, the League One team says it ""won’t be talking to the BBC before or after today’s game"", including the hashtag '#WeStandWithGary' in its post. Bristol Rovers are playing Forest Green away later today."

"Hermit Road 1:33 Sat Mar 11 Labour may have made him a peer but unfortunately for them he did a u turn and backed Boris in the 2019 election, spouting various hatred across Twitter including a picture of Corbyn sat next to Hitler in a motorcade. Kept his job at the Beeb though."

Re: Woke watch
"At the risk of being accused of being fixated - as opposed to bothering to read the full picture rather than rush to a snap judgement, which is seemingly wrong in the 21st century- I'm pretty sure Lord Sugar isn't in court trying to land his employer with a 5 million pound tax bill. His primary defence is that its the BBC that owe the money, not him. But I'm sure that doesn't factor into the BBCs thoughts on lineker, they're an entirely objective and well run organisation. I'm equally sure that the fact the reason he argues that they owe the money and not him is that he isn't an employee of theirs, doesn't factor into his actions here. Tweeting outside of a well known policy and stepping down in order to prove that you aren't an employee definitely doesn't help him. Not at all. He really does care about those bloody ruddy refugees. Won't pay for them , house them, or visit their living conditions, but he really does care."

Unless some other government was in power in Germany between 1933 and 1939. I haven't heard anyone claim he was talking about the Weimar Republic before that, have you? I don't suppose the thick cսnt has even heard of that."

"goose 12:50 Sat Mar 11 Re: Woke watch The simple fact is that Lineker’s contract with the BBC is very clear about impartiality and expressing his personal political views. He’s clearly broken that contract & been punished. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Unlike the Tory Lord Sugar, who has broken his contract & not been punished."
