Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Re: Woke watch
"The NHS does cover way too many things. As far as mental health is concerned, far too much is spent on low level depression and stuff. A decent help-line could cope with all that. Far too little is spent on serious mental illness. I would suggest that what is saved on the former should be spent on the latter. I would add transgender treatment and fertility treatment to cosmetic surgery. I'd also urge a review of purchasing practices that insist on buying high-priced proprietary brands of drugs, dressings and devices instead of cheap but identical generic items. No brown envelopes passing hands there, I'm sure."

"Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has been found not guilty of nine sex offences at London's Southwark Crown Court Speaking afterwards, he said he was humbled by the outcome, and that there was a lot to process The Hollywood star, who is 64 today, cried in the dock as the verdicts were read out Prosecutors had told the jury the star had left the four complainants feeling “small, diminished and worthless” Spacey denied using his power as an A-lister to get people into bed, and described the allegations as a ""stab in the back"" The complainants, now in their 30s and 40s, are entitled to lifelong anonymity under the law"

"The NHS is broken, it’s a bottomless pit for money. It offers too much. Get rid of mental health, cosmetic surgery ( except in cancer cases ) and every other thing that won’t kill you. Concentrate on proper Illnesses and stop pandering to people."

"Debs Finally, nor have I suggested you are horrid because you support the NHS in its present form. I clearly stated it was a perfectly reasonable position. The reason I think you are horrid (your word, not mine) is down to your habitual lying and your omnipresent self-righteousness and assumption of victimhood. It's important you realise why I, and others, have such disdain for you."

"Debs You are doing it again. Nobody has mentioned the USA except you. Nor has anyone mentioned the elderly. I have certainly given no indication that I don't care about the elderly and I very much resent your clear implication that I don't. Incidentally, almost all of your beloved EU uses a system other than ours involving an element of medical insurance. Your self-righteousness is poisonous."

Re: Woke watch
Surf what you seem.to.forget in all.this is that the elderly are probably the biggest users of the NHS most might even remember a time without it when affording a doctor appointment was beyond them The US insurance based healthcare system. leaves many without cover or only.partially covered and thousands go.bsnkrupt yearly trying g to.afford basic medicines If you'd be happy with that then maybe it's your values that are at odds with British ones...pretty sure you'd be welcome over there though. It'd get you away from.sll.the horrid people like me that want an NHS that belongs to.us all.

"Debs Goodness, gracious, me again! The adult population of the UK is about 55m. 22% of 55m (per lefty YouGov (100-78)) is about 11.5 million people. Nobody except you has mentioned the American system. Are you seriously disputing that 11.5 million people is not 'many, many, people' You really are a ghastly liar."

Re: Woke watch
Fifth Person becomes more conservative as they grow older shocker! üòÇüòÇüòÇüòÇüòÇüòÇ Have you changed your moral compass? How much should the state either support people or redistribute wealth and then leave them free to live their own lives unhindered by the state? Surely we are talking about the constant involvement of a huge state and a few vast institutions and corporations upon our lives. These very institutions set the tone by which we are supposed to agree and conform and they are staggered when individuals disagree.

"Forgetful.and a liar ""Many, many people believe that the best way to deliver the best medical care to the greatest number of people would be to introduce some form of insurance-based healthcare system,' No straw man just you spouting bullshit as usual You said many many people. Only in your cuntish feeble little head would 9% prepresent many many people. In a representative survey of probably a few thousand at most"

Surf here you gomagain. I say something and you get all Prickly especially when you know inam.right. Your assertion.that most Brits wan an insurance based system.comes from.where exactly? Kate Andrews?.Conservative Home? It's bollocks by the way. 78% of Brits are happy with the free at the point of use system paid for by taxation .we have and if we compare it to the US as theirs is probably the one at most extreme opposite of that only about 9% of Brits would want their healthcare systemvfunded as Americans have it. YouGov study.

Re: Woke watch
"Branded All those concepts have changed so much though, left, right centre. The Road To Somewhere is a good book. Fundamentally argues left and right aren't meaningful anymore and it's more people who have an affiliation with place and tradition (""somewheres"") and those who feel they are citizens of the world (""anywheres""). It's why a lot of traditional ""left"" places (Red Wall) voted 'right' because the Tories have positioned themselves as the part of somewhere, if place, of country. I'm left wing in terms of economics. But what today is seen as right wing in terms of social policy eg I recognise that a communal sense of belonging is important, that the family unit should be supported (without demonising those who don't fit into it). What would have been standard Labour policy in previous decades But now the Tories probably represent most of my views on social issues more than Labour. I haven't changed my views in 25 years. So I don't think I've changed. I think political parties have changed. Right and left doesn't mean a lot. A lot of young people call themselves ""leftists"" and they don't actually know what left wing policies traditionally meant."

Re: Woke watch
The biggest problem with a free at the point of delivery system is that it does not encourage healthy minded behaviours from many in society. I would much prefer a system that rewards the healthy minded. I constantly have conversations with fat cunts who want to have their cake and eat it and ask for the way in which that might be achieved. Stop eating the fucking cake as much is not the simple answer they like to hear.
