"It's quite good, but I think the castle interiors are inspired by Gormenghast rather than the real castles of France."

"Watching Les Rois Maudits on youtube. French TV dramatised it twice, and both are available, both with or without subtitles. It's about French history at roughly the same time as the Wars of the Roses. If you don't like Gerard Depardieu, he gets burnt alive half an hour in. The books were supposed to be one of the influences on Game of Thrones, but I've never seen GoT, so I can't comment on that view. I'm watching the 2005 version."

I put the subtitles on English programmes due to the horrific mumblyness of modern thesps. That won't bother me.

Nurse. It's entirely sub titlled which is great as you have to really focus to keep up. I'm ready to step up for a slapping should the Manster bow out. :-)

"I've paid for an add-on for Prime so I can watch this Gommorah. Won't be starting it yet, but in near future. It had better be good or I'll slap Manuel's legs."

"Manuel. I saw the first series on Netflix (aus) a couple of years back and found it to be among the best tv i have ever seen. Recently got a moody link to Sky Atlantic and am bombing through the whole lot, I cant praise it highly enough."

Almost finished series 3 of the magnificent Gommorah. Is it worth me watching the Immortal before carrying on or should i just dive into series 4? Ta.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
I watched Tin Star season 3 yeah. It's turned into an utter utter farce. It's somewhat enjoyable but you have to just go with it as they've basically all turned into assassins running around Liverpool shooting guns everywhere with absolutely no consequences from the police who all seem to not care. Weird season

"Anyone given tin star S3 a go? I watched S1 but thought season 2 was shit so give up. Just finished the wire, one of the best things I’ve watched. Can’t believe it took me so long to get round to it."

Is Your Honor getting a bit far fetched? I'll stick with it though. Through esp 6 so still a bit of catch up.
