"Good shout about 4 Lives, Manuel. How fucking useless are our cops?! My Springer Spaniel would have worked that on out in a day. It reminds me of the Post Office debacle, where Post Office owners were prosecuted for fraud, Did no one think that hundreds of Post Office owners had all of a sudden tried to steal from them. Frightening that common sense seems to be disappearing."

"Kermode is very hit and miss. He has a very public blind spot for certain directors. (""My mate Billy Friedkin."") And Danny Boyle are two that come to mind. And seem's very cautious not to upset Disney too much when reviewing Marvel or Star Wars Movies. As for The Boys. It's fucking ace. Ain't seen any of the new season. But will do a binge session when I get a day off in the month."

Isn't this very Fred and the box set recommendations one of the only reasons to use this site during the summer window? Sometimes you don't want a mainstream review with Mark Kermode seeing how many times he can get 'remarkable' into a sentence. You really want a hairy-arsed middle aged West Ham supporter to tell you if you're about to piss away six hours you'll never get back. It's saved me untold times. After a while you get to trust certain posters and can be reasonably sure they'll point you at something interesting. Likewise there are posters whose recommendations you swerve completely. Not naming any names but these films go along the lines of 200 black labs trapped on a US submarine that has been targeted by the Germans because these labs have been specially trained by the US Marine Corps to end the war for the USA. The only person who can save the day and win the war for the USA is Tom Hanks on a racehorse that can hold its breath for a really really long time.

Soldo To be fair Kardashians pulls in a massive world wide audience but it's shit. Not saying ST is shit by any means but popularity is not always a true gauge of quality.

"Im inclined to agree with Bell, The Boys is brilliant and to just think of it as some sort of Marvel/Super Hero programme really is missing the point. Its the antithesis of a traditional super hero show."

"Sold0, no one's trying to be edgy, you prat. The most popular TV show for a decade was X-Factor, don't mean it was any good ffs The first series was ok, as I said the music and 80's vibe was all very COOL, but let's be honest, it's a kids TV programme, and this 4th series is just the same old shit as the other 3."

I still haven’t got to grips with series two of Westworld. It’s hard to follow the last episode of Series one which may be the single best episode of telly I’ve seen.

Series 4 of Westworld got off to a poor start. series 3 was so bad and it needs to recover fast. Arron Paul is a bad casting he’s just boring. Another poor show is Halo on the piss poor Paramount Plus (on Sky it buffers far too much). I loved this game growing up but they have turned the main killing machine character into an broken man.
