"Finished it last night. I did quite like the 'Nothing happens' vibe. It's literally just snapshots of life and there's not really a payoff or a storyline/resolution for anything. Interesting way of doing television. On another note, anyone see House of the Dragon last night? Hopeful it can restore my faith in the Game of Thrones franchise after the debacle of how that went in the last two seasons."

"Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls ted fenton 11:37 We watched 30 mins of episode 1 and gave up. From the same writers as Mum (which was brilliant) and it's much the same, but without the funny bits. Shame really, as Nicola Walker and Sean Bean are both very good actors - the thing where he was in prison with Stephen Graham was probably one of the best things he's done (Time)"

"ted fenton 11:37 I keep expecting some sort of massive revelation to happen, like he's beating the shit out of her secretly or something. Thought it was leading up to that but I don't think so now. I think it's just going to be sort of mundane like a fly on the wall doc with nothing really happening in terms of an overall narrative. Sort of weirdly compelling though. They've really nailed down the cringe and banal small talk. I'm curious as to whether they are ad libbing most of it, because it feels like it."

"We watched 3 episodes of ""Marriage"" last night at times it was like watching paint dry ! ..Having said that the acting was very good so will persevere with it. WTF is all that chanting at the end of an episode ? Every time I look at Sean Bean I see him heading for paliament in protest against us !!! Cnut."

"As interesting as any struggling actor/writer, I suppose Ted. A few good years, many not so good. Still life in the old boy, yet (I keep telling myself)."

"I spent three months working with Kelly Reilly in 2001. She was lovely, funny, wild after a few beers, and extremely talented. I fell a little bit in love with her, as did every man who met her, and quite a few women. It was clear that she was going places as the theatre was regularly visited by casting directors, major theatre directors and tv execs, who often whisked her off for a late supper at Joe Allen's. A year or so later she played the title role in Miss Julie at the Donmar, and the rest is history."

"o1bb Hmm. Maybe. I loathed her in True Detective, Sherlock Holmes and anything else I've seen her in. Same shtick every time in every role. Walks into a room, or approaches another actor slightly sideways on. I think she thinks it's 'slinky', whereas I think she looks constipated. Turns her head sideways and does that slow up and down movement with her head, contorting her face/mouth like she's just suffered a stroke. And frankly, she cannot act. The only actress who annoys me more is Shirley Henderson."

Cheers Swiss. I doubt there's currently anything out there in TV land that could tie Walter White's shoelaces. Let alone go toe to toe with Heisenberg.!
