"I watched Uncut Gems last night and enjoyed it - who would have thought Sandler had it in him? It seemed so start at 100mph and didn’t let up, definitely adds to the feeling of anxiety."

"Finished it. Yeah, that was some ending. As someone who gave up gambling two years ago, there's a lot I recognise under the chaos and noise."

"Yeah, Uncut gems does get better in the 2nd half. At first it's just a bunch of irritating shouty Jewish people, like an unfunny Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it improves. As a movie about gambling it's nowhere near as good as The Gambler though. That's the 70s James Caan movie, not the shitty one with Marky Mark that was made a few years back."

"Sandler and Garnett did an interview together on pardon my take, The director had an idea of how he wanted the scene to go and then asked Garnett to essentially write his own lines how he would have said them."

"I'm halfway through Uncut Gems (been watching on the train). Not sure I'll go back for the second half. Too stressful. Although a million miles away, it reminded me of watching that John Cleese film Clockwork. Man has awful things happen to him that hamper the important task he has to complete by a fixed time."

CS I was deliberately being a cսnt. It's fucking stupid arguing over taste in films just as it is about arguing about taste in comedy or anything subjective. That's why we do it on here!

"I'm looking forward to seeing The Lighthouse. I enjoyed Cold Skin. Saw Dolittle a few days ago. It was ok. Nothing special. Can't remember much about it tbh. Saw a few films on a plane the other day.. None from this year though. 47m down. Was ok. Had its moments. The kind of film I would have gone to see on school holidays. Final Score. Was actually better second time. The thing that makes it hard to watch is that it's close to home. If you can get over the idea of us playing in the CL, and some shit dialogue, and the daughter of the Boleyn landlady having a northern accent, the violence makes it bearable. Still can't quite believe that I can't just go back to the old ground. American Hangman. Was good. Quite thought provoking. I, Tonya. I was enjoying this, especially the mother who is fucking hysterical. But I had to change planes halfway, and the 2nd plane didn't have it on."

Someone mentioned The Lighthouse. Good but not a patch on a similar scenario in Cold Skin with Ray Stevenson. Brilliant film.

"Not 2020 but i watched a film called Skin with Jamie bell last night based on a true story about a neo nazi who befriends a black activist and turns against his faction, getting over 2 years worth of tattoo removal. Was pretty decent, always liked Jamie bell, never seemed to take that big next step"

"Far East Hammer 3:13 Sun Feb 2 Re: 2020 Movies In 2007 West Ham issued ""The Great Escape"" Just wondering whether 2020 will see ""The Pathetic Relegation"" released As soon as Sully sells up, West Ham will be able to release 'Parasite' in his honour. Won't be 2020, unfortunately. 'Parasite' comes out this week in the UK, looking forward to seeing it on the big screen as I don't have the smart streaming/pirating tech."
