"Watched Alien Romulus last night and agree with others below. Entertaining but just a less impressive repackage of the same thing, that was too long and offered only a slight addition to the original story. Also watched Greedy People the day before which was decent, but a poor mans Fargo."

"I lasted 5 minutes watching Duchess. Truly terrible. But then found a gem of a film called 'Tag' on Amazon. Very funny and also poignant, about why we shouldn't lose our inner child. A delightful watch."

Loved Duchess. A must watch. Always been a fan of Neil Marshall’s work. His misus Charlotte Kirk has very fit body but facial she’s looks like a tranny. Sean Pertwee as usual is great.

"Alfs - That looks like a good yarn. Finally got around to At Close Range, the 80's really were a different time, and Walken's tosh looked ridiculous. Thought it was so so, which is probably why I hadn't rushed to see it before."

"Just watched and enjoyed The Instigators. Not a classic but an entertaining 100 minutes, and good to see Toby Jones stealing scenes from Matt Damon."

It was clever how they recreatedthe Ian Holm character. But the young English guys ruined it for me. The black guy talking like Chris Eubank was very good.

RB shorty Totally agree. Not been a better Alien film since 2 . I think Romulus was back to basics. And was almost an amalgamation of 1 and 2. I enjoyed it but for how long can you re hash the same story ?

The issue is Cheezey the first two films are classics and set the bar very high. What has come since has left the bar very very low. It also doesn't help Scott sticking his oar into it every time. Wonderful world builder. Piss poor story teller. And the truth is. Until Weaver picks up her pulse rifle and goes on a final bug hunt with Cameron. The fanbase ain't getting the send off for the Xenomorph they want. And unfortunately that ship self-destructed a long time ago. This new one has a Film Four viewing written all over it.

Watched Alien Romulus yesterday. Was a bit disappointed with it. It's like a mix of all the previous Alien movies but lacking in suspense.

"happygilmore 8:04 Sat Aug 17 The quality of scripts have dipped massively over the last ten years as content has become more important than quality. I recently did a rewrite of a Netflix film about the footballer Craig Johnston and I could not believe that they actually bought the script. It was terrible. And I said so. My services were no longer required. Jackpot! was just the same variant of a scene played over and over again. Shame, as the concept was an interesting one."

"Alfs 7:47 Sat Aug 17 Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022) Alfs, I just lasted 20 mins. Why are so many new movies utterly gash. The script was so dumbed down"

Turned Jackpot! off after 30 minutes. Truly dire. I also gave up on Bikeriders. Found it way too slow.

"I watched Soldo's reco', The Bikeriders, a bit slow at first but thought it was good and liked how it was done with the girl Kathy (Comer) narrating about that time in the present day. Comer is a sort btw."
