NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Apparently lamar Jackson has a Quad injury, he's on a short week as well and is playing tomorrow! Could be the end of my fantasy season if he's not 100% Can't imagine they'll be running him too much against the goddamn jets"

"cough, you know bronco also wrestled at the highest level, one strong man. it's fascinating watching footage of some of those old players playing without headgear"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
Chicago had a unit called Bronco Nagurski another one I would have loved to have seen in real time is Dick Butkus

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Teams will quite regularly blitz a defensive back to try and surprise a QB, usually a safety, rodney harrison had over 30 sacks from safety Might be a more modern tactic because i would guess that 2 over the course of a career is actually quite low"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Ronni Lott had 2 QB sacks, fuck me how does a DB get to sack a QB? I suppose it's when the offensive team gets in the red zone?"
Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Yeah I enjoyed listening to Neon Deion, he had a lot of good things to say, I'm glad Ronnie Lott got in though"

"doesn't even mention it, he's very generous towards some of his heroes and former team mates. he could back up the ego so I enjoy listening to him. I wish I'd seen mel blount play at his peak"

"Think I might have done too despite leaving Brrees on the bench and Derrius Guice limping out. Thank you Darius Slayton I feel robbed. Not that it mattered to the overall standings. But with Eli Manning playing and me being 20 odd points up. Plus the Giants being shit. I thought it was in the bag. Still thanks a lot Gentleman, I've have enjoyed it this year. Look forward to the next one already."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"they do find loopholes in the rulebook its what will sometimes give them an edge, i remember Harbaugh with the ravens going mad because the pats were using ""illegal"" formations during a game, but the rules allowed it Belichick is just smart enough to utilise it. pretty sure that rule was added in the very next offseason. But i think people try and make huge deals out of everything the Pats do because they are the dominant team of the last 20 years!! and people want to tear them down and discredit what they've accomplished. The whole deflategate thing was basically debunked and a judge ruled to say it was all nonsense essentially and there was nowhere near enough evidence, but another judge essentially said it doesnt matter the arguement was about whether Goodell could do what he wanted regardless. Aaron Rogers openly admitted to deliberately inflating balls past the limits but nothing was made of that instead Brady got a 4 game ban because he ""may have been aware that something was going on"""

Oi! I'll have you know that the Jets' entire coaching staff are half-wits with iPhones! You leave them out of it.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"no one thinks they were trying to cheat, it's just taking the piss, SB. you think a bloke who coached Lawrence Taylor for most of his career needs a report from some halfwit with an iPhone to know how to plan for a match against a team almost as bad as the redskins? :.)"

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"Just because they were caught filming the Bengals, it doesn't mean they weren't doing it to other teams Would be pretty essy to prove and sure we'd have heard already if they'd been elsewhere as thee Pats had to ask permission from the Browns to have people credentialed in the press box to do it."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"The serious point is that I agree with Falace - it is unlikely that the Patsies would even bother filming the Bengals for any advantage. You wouldn't learn much, beyond how much their offensive line eats during a game. But there is a reason everybody is on edge when it comes to the Patsies and cheating. For a team that has been so good, and a coach and QB who are among the best ever, they are more committed than most to bending the rules. ""Spygate"" and ""Inflategate"" tell you that. Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I can't help but feel that post-Belichick, there could be a Lance Armstrong-style opening up of what actually went on inside PatsyLand after he signed that napkin."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
"It is interesting that it is very often the Patsies caught up in these ""filming"" scandals, isn't it? What better cover to have than to commission a group of idiot independents, and then instruct them to point their cameras in the direction of your opponents benches, while all the time denying any responsibility. Damn clever, that Belichick! Damn clever. Dangerous. Never has one man done so much damage with a single napkin. ;-)"
