Dexy's debut album is one of my favourites...I gotta dig that out for my commute next week...Talk Talk were unique and I say that in a good way. All their jazz structures twisted into something very contemporary and synth based... it was also ambient before that became a trendy thing...

Violator Pounding - does what it says on the tin. He's not a bad drummer...more than competent. There Goes The Fear is another of their songs which I really come back to all the time. Love the Forum...since the Town & Country days...Must be because I spent the first 4 years of my life in Kentish Town...my last gig there was George Clinton/Parliament Funkadelic Its weird I don't remember anything of my childhood there but whenever I visit the place I really feel at home there and regret that my parents left it!

Gazza_AZ 8:32 Fri Oct 5 My son loves them. Took him to see them as birthday present last and they are pretty damn good. Skindred supported them and they are great fun live and a proper racket.

Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
This week I have been mainly listening to Magic Soul.
Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
I have also been listening to the Disturbed version of the classic Simon and Garfunkel - Sound of Silence. If you haven't heard it - it is F***ing Awesome. So much more menacing than the original....which given the subject - should be shouted from the rooftops.
Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
"Has anyone else heard of ""Five finger death punch"" a pretty heavy sound - but they have covers of an intersting set of tunes....Rocked out Country to classic 60s tunes. Interesting band and sound....I think I like it."
