Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
"dm 3:53 Wed Jan 16 Hi was at that gig mate. Great stuff. Id agree about there newer stuff although I do like Brave New World. Caught them up in Aberdeen last year on the Legecy of the Beast Tour and as they played all the classics and more. I'd have to say that gig was up there with the Hammesmith one back in 86. There newer stuff on record may a bit duff, but live they are still fuckin brilliant. Getting back to Somewhere in Time I loce the West Ham 7 Arsenal 3 football score hidden on the album art work. Incidentally Maiden Tribute band Hi on Maiden are doing a gig at the Wagon and Horses in Stratford Feb 2nd Few maiden fans on here. http://www.hi-onmaiden.com/"

"Far Cough 9:33 Wed Jan 16 Carl had the best voice by far. And he sings that one. Brilliantly. Mind you, the other 4/5 could sing a bit, too."

"Agent Scud Somewhere in Time is by far my favourite Iron Maiden album. I saw them at Hammersmith on that tour in 1986. I was 17 and it was only the third 'big gig' (as opposed to local/pub bands) I went to. I know not everyone will agree with me, but I think those first 6 Iron Maiden albums are better that anything that came after."

Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
After reading through the last few replies I'm listening to Iron Maiden's Somewhere In Time (the second album I ever purchased). This morning was Requiem For A Dream OST - Most of Clint Mansell's soundtrack albums are great for working to.

"yngwie's cat I must admit that i've come to regard powerslave as a very patchy album. but Two Minutes to Midnight, Powerslave and Ancient Mariner are excellent tracks. I have always loved the way that Powerslave, which is quite a heavy track, comes to it's climax, Then Ancient Mariner starts up and has that really excellent heavy opening. You can tell they mean business. Actually you have just inspired me to dig out my CD of that album and give those two tracks a listen.. also there were two excellent b sides from that album ie Rainbow's Gold, and Kings of Twilight"

"Iron Maiden - The Rhyme of the Ancient Marriner, followed by Flash of the blade, from the Power Slave album. One their best in my humble."
