"zebthecat back in about 1999/2000 Think Floyd did a couple of studio albums of original material. they are long deleted now, and seem to have been erased from the band's official history. May be something to do with the band having a 100% change of personnell since then. But I do recommend seeking them out. They are well worth the effort."

"Watching Bill Bailey's thing on Alfred Russel Wallace, and ARW was quite happy working with Borneo headhunters, sleeping in their gaff with shrunken human heads suspended above his head. But he didn't like their music."

Miike. Haha. I am not OLD ENOUGH to be obsessed by Pink bloody Floyd. It's like a 1975 poly common room in here. Groovy.

"zab, it's quite a bit of time but if you ever get a spare eighteen minutes, watch BF do the first side of Animals. I've seen TF too, and the Aussie band (from which BF's two vocalists came from) but BF for me are perfect"

Takashi Miike 11:38 Sun Feb 3 Not a fan of tribute bands but got dragged to see Think Floyd last and really enjoyed it. They did a fantastic version of Echoes. Gutted that Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets passed me by. Those gigs sounded fantastic. Voivod's version of Astronomy Domine is my fave Floyd cover.

Fantastic. So this thread has moved on from all conceivable Pink Floyd songs to Pink Floyd tribute acts. Good grief.

zebthecat 12:38 Sat Feb 2 Funnily enough I was listening to It's Alive too yesterday. When the Ramones go from Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue into We're A Happy Family is the finest musical moment in the history of the world. Seamless. Never fails to make my hair stand on end.
