"I've tried listening to Townsend but his singing style is hard to listen to, he reminds me of a west end musical singer like john barrowman and one particular track on that empath album, he starts every verse with a style that sounds like he's going to start shouting ""Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien"". not for me :.)"

Not a massive fan of his either. Did like Strapping Young Lad as I like a bit a bit of Death Metal (Shitstorm is fantastic) but the rest of his oevre left me cold. Empath on the other hand is fabulous. It reminds me of Zappa's very best stuff for melody and invention and he has some voice.

zebthecat 12:26 Fri Apr 12 I've tried a couple of times to listen to and like Devin Townsend but have never loved anything I've listened to so far. Always thought the musicianship was amazing. What song/album would you recommend and I'll give it another go?

"BRANDED I saw that article . it saddened me that Don't Stop Me Now is one of the most streamed songs by Queen, as it is one of the worst songs they did imo. its so commercial and not typical of their album tracks."

That they managed to then play a ""backwards tape "" song forwards with such skill live 20+ years later is incredible. Don't care if they're devils. Genius band. At times."
