"A ""music movie"". ""The Ecstasy Of Wilko Johnson"" . Astonishing film by Julien Temple for the BBC. It's not really about his music, it's about attitude to life. John Wilkinson. Scholar. Nutter. Philosopher. Survivor. And a great guitar player, of course. Deserves to live to 120. Or whenever he wishes. It's 90 minutes. But you'll thank me later. https://youtu.be/zLLPsGoBtF8"

"Fuck me I just had to listen to the new Lighthouse Family song on Radio 2. As good as anything else they've done before it = gash. Thankfully now it's John Denver and High Calypso, so my ears have stopped bleeding."

dm 12:36 Sun Apr 21 I get that. Sometimes I think they just overcomplicate (and over lengthen) for the sake of it. I usually prefer the shorter less complicated songs.I get quite bored in many of their long 'widdly' bits. SFAM is quite hard work in one sitting! My favourite DT song is actually About To Crash from Six Degrees. Quite unusual for them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PSGNx6vbJk

"DiCanio's Lefty & Bungo TBH not my cup of tea I used to have it on CD years ago and I was giving it another listen to see if I may like it if I come to it fresh several years on. But I'm sorry to say, that excellent musicians that they are, Dream Theatre don't seem to to do anything for me. I will give Scenes From a Memory one more try"
