"Oh yes, I'd be there all day. Closest I get is the Ashdown Forest which is 10 minutes drive from me. I like to go far a wander and listen the larks literally ascending and singing. No idea how they do that on the wing. Dartford warblers there too and loads of deer; they are quite funny when they come across an unexpected human sitting down where they want to go. They stop confused for a bit before trotting off."

Birdsong also demonstrates how their perception of time is completely different to ours. There was a brilliant radio show about this; in order for a human to perceive the intracacies of a when song it has to be slowed downed to a 16th of full speed for us. Bats hunting are an order magnitude faster to react than that.
