"dm it was a light hearted quip, i quite like Morcheeba, not keen on Marillion but Mr Debs loves them I agree about the genres of music thing though. I like various ones as i think i demonatrate on here."
Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
"Darlo, going back about about 18 years or so, I got into a conversation at work with someone who was a few years younger than me about our quite different music tastes. I mainly like progressive rock and classic rock, especially if its prog tinged. While he mainly liked what I would call music for people who read Q or NME magazines. It was a good natured discussion and out of it we started to lend each other CDs, (nowadays of course people would email youtube links at each other) TBH none of the CDs I lent him particularly grabbed him and vice versa. Except for one. He lent me Big Calm by Morecheeba and I really like it. I subsequently bought a 2CD of Big calm and Fragments of Freedom and I do still play it occasionally. Especially Big Calm Recently I was browsing the bargain CDs in Oxfam and came upon a CD of Morcheeba's first album Who Can You Trust, so I thought, well, I'll take a punt on this, hence me taking it home and giving it some spins. While not as good as Big Calm which is a great album imo, it is still quite pleasant and will possibly grow on me. I've never agreed with the notion that one should stick to just one or two genres of music."
