"dm, I don't mind stuff that's not ""accessible"". Some of my favourite albums took me a few listens, but they are the real growers in my opinion. It's hard to beat things that are an acquired taste (Guinness, Olives & Radiohead!)."
Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
"Azel Senior Go for it. I've been having a bit of a Marillion binge recently. Fugazi is not generally well regarded, although imo Assassing, Jigsaw and Incubus are great tracks. Not that many Marillion albums could be described as accessible. They do tend to reward further listens. Misplaced Childhood is probably their most accessible. The recent albums do have a reputation of being difficult to get into. I personally think their last great album was 2004's Marbles, although the 17 minute epic Gaza is well worth checking out. Of course all music is subjective, but imo their greatest album is Afraid of Sunlight. It does take a few listens to really get into though. But Ive come to regard it as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s by anyone. H always used to say its the best record they've made."

"Inspired by this thread, giving Marillion another go. Back in the day, loved a few tracks, but they never really grabbed me as a band. Marillion - Fugazi"

"dm 3:37 Mon Feb 7 Cheers - In my eagerness to post I missed the 1984 bit at the end of the line. I shall duly take my little wooden stool and park myself in the Silly Boys Corner. The video I was referring to dates from a show in Montreal in about 2018 or so and is mostly (all I think) ""new"" Marillion stuff. Anyhow: Status Quo - Rockin' On."
Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
"Mike Oxsaw No, it's 20th June 1984. Part of it was used on Real to Reel. I'm listening to it on the CDs that came with the Fugazi box set that came out last year. I'm well looking forward to the Seasons End and Holidays in Eden box sets that are coming out this year.. These box sets are well worth having. They are printing more Script for a Jester's Tear box sets soon due to demand, like they did with Misplaced Childhood.."

"Van Morrison - these are the days. dm - is that Montreal concert the one where they work backwards through their catalogue? Never tire of that, if it is."
