Leonard Hatred 4:19 Thu Sep 8 Pointless fact of the day. I saw her live with Mike Oldfield at Wembley Arena in 1979 (?) doing the vocal bits on Incantations. Apparently a quite young Emma Freud (remember her?) was one of the backing singers too? Rock 'n' roll!

"Ignore Swiss, he's just a middle aged man (ish) trying desperately to appear 'cool and edgy whilst saying a heartbreaking farewell to his younger years. Also, his inability to take part in any debate without abusing those with a different view to his shows the level of immaturity that is at the core of him. England Dan and John Ford Coley. Dr Heckle and Mr Jive."

"Im the first to acknowledge that I do tend to listen mainly to progressive rock, but not exclusively so. And I do listen to a lot of contemporary progressive rock. While I do listen a lot to 70s/80s albums by rock legends by bands such as Queen, Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Marillion, ELO, Purple,Camel,Hawkwind, Bowie, Al Stewart, UFO, Zeppelin etc, I do listen to a hell of a lot of contemporary progressive rock albums, by artists such as Mostly Autumn, Manning, Porcupine Tree, Galahad, Arena, Arjen Lucassen, Anathema, Tiger Moth Tales, etc. And I'm always seeking out new (to me) albums and artists to listen to. And when I do, I tend to prefer to check out contemporary music over older albums."

Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
Regardless of the age bracket but 50+ would be a good guess it seems most on here are in a time warp and never listened to anything post 1980. That's fucking sad. I loved Purple and Zepplin in the day and occasionally I'll listen to the odd track from them. I also listen to stuff pre my generation from the 50s and 60s. However I move forward and listen to new stuff all the time and most of the time. My love for house music whether dance/jazz/techno/deep etc endures and new stuff is always being released. Most on this thread are boring fucks stuck in the past. Surely they must get bored listening to the same shit. Or obviously not.
