Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
Can someone tell Swiss that calling someone a geriatric cսnt for their taste in music isn't having a discussion or expressing an opinion on musical tastes. All a bit odd for a bloke clearly in middle age acting like a Hoxton hipster. Anyway: Nebraska. Springsteen.

Council Zcum Yes you're right. In hindsight that probably does come across as a punchline for a sketch. Or maybe a little pompous. Stil it's still probably better than people calling each other cunts all the time. üòÄ Chumbawamba - Tubthumper

"""With respect, if you are under the impression that I'm only listening to 1970s progressive rock, then you should look more carefully at what I've posted. If anything I tend to favour contemporary progressive rock."" That got a LOL from me"

A few soundtrack clips from the first series of Star Trek. Worrying thing is that I can see in my mind the exact scenes the music relates to. I was obviously Geeked long before Geek became a thing.

That's a bit combative Swiss. There is a way to have a civil discussion. It's not like you are talking about politics. Anyway Lost Weekend - Lloyd Cole & The Commotions

Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
The whole point of this thread is to share your tastes so you might learn about new music as well as chat about tastes you have in common. The point was definitely NOT slagging off eachothers choices. Please be respectful. Be bloody boring if we all liked the same thing.

Today I will be listening mainly to a combination of the following.. RADIOHEAD REM The SMITHS As all 3 are less depressing than watching Southgates England play.

If anything I tend to favour contemporary progressive rock. It's nice to see I'm not alone in that respect here as I've noticed Mike Oxsaw post about Mostly Autumn and people here who like Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson eg Mary Millington's Ghost and others. It is interesting to see what people on here are listening to. It's a shame that The Stoat no longer posts on here. Incubus Lovechild - Time Terrorist ep"

Why do the more insecure posters on the site add a link to what they are listening to? Do they seek approval of their choice from others?
