Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
"scouse agreed, absolutely baffling why he wastes 2 substitute places with goalkeepers and doesn't just use 1. perfect opportunity to include a youngsters if not providing sufficient cover for as many positions as possible."

Re: Moyes Out
Apparently you can ask Moyes anything via Sky Sports today for some reason I would love to know the strategy behind two keepers on the bench.
Re: Moyes Out
"Three sixty, a good reason why he should try Antonio wide with Scammaca in the centre? Liverpool would be a good opportunity to try this out, lets attack and not continually play defensively particularly if we are going to miss key defenders again."

Re: Moyes Out
"I'm obviously not Moyes out and have never been that. (in fact I was very Moyes in before he was appointed the 2nd time). However, the 25 shots just re-inforces the view that our forwards do not make clear cut chances. Its not even about being accurate anymore. You could have 50 shots from range in a game, it means nothing. What matters is that your forwards move their players around so much that it creates gaps that are clear scoring opportunities. We dont use our wingers properly (note how when Benny came on how much better it was because he USES the wing properly). So we dont stretch defences and they are able to keep their shape. Which is why we are finding it harder and harder to break teams down."

Re: Moyes Out
"It is true that Moyes is the perfect manager for this ownership. At the start of this second stint he had us playing very well and working really hard and he did it with a team rather than a full squad. One of the first things he wanted to change many of the cultures within the club set up""¶..he needs to look at himself and change his culture of defend first now the owners have finally given a manager of ours a squad. Nice to also see Come On The Swiss going to huge lengths to separate his two comedy poster acts on here""¶..it isn't working by the way""¶..one bumps it, the other wants it locked""¶. :-)"
Re: Moyes Out
Absolutely spot on correct nerd. We should be thankful for a manager that has loads of faults but is a realistic option for top 6 or 7 finishes. When Moyes starts losing games again is the time to criticise - not when 4 CBs are out injured and our strikers missed 25 goal opportunities against Southampton. On any other day the ref gets out of Bowen's way and they don't score and we win 3-0 with the same boring tactics...

Re: Moyes Out
"Time to lock this thread. It's the usual boring bellends arguing amongst themselves. Moyes is going nowhere until at least after the winter World Cup, so the mods should do the boring bellends and the rest of us a favour and lock this shit."
Re: Moyes Out
"interesting thread , so who do you go for ,look at Antonio Conte at Spurs best start in years but incredibly negative and many saying the most boring football in 10 years . Carlo Ancelotti was rubbish at Everton and then Benitez woeful . Thomas Tuchel was not any better than Roberto Di Matteo , I think Potter could be a great appointment for them likewise Eddie Howe at Newcastle . So then the young managers im not sold on many if honest , Ruben Amorim is up there as the hottest properties but I find the Portuguese managers quite negative . De Zerbi is good one that Brighton now have , so should we follow suit . Diego Martinez Spanish coach is pretty negative as well but a damn good coach . Remember the idiots Arsenal wanting Wenger out and Simeone in , crazy idea , so who do we want ?"

Re: Moyes Out
"Presuming the Czech bloke IS taking over before next season he may already have someone in mind or even lined up to be his manager. Alternatively he may be open to persuasion as to whether Moyes is the manager he can trust with the money , being able to deal with better players and have a strategy to at least compete with better teams like Liverpool. Brighton showed that if you have an attacking plan and are on the front foot you can cause problems. Moyes with a group that you'd say is as talented at least as Brighton has to show something in his 'audition' on Wednesday. If its another timid performance where we've given up before kick off due to negativity if I was Kretinsky I'd not be impressed given I have given him Italy's centre forward & a Brazil starter. Not saying we have to win but we have to show SOMETHING that promises with more good players added we can give the big teams trouble."

Re: Moyes Out
"Takashi Miike 12:44 Tue Oct 18 Re: Moyes Out What do you think most successful managers do? Unless you go several goals behind that[s exactly what a manager should be doing. Look at the opposition and do the research for the best setup to take the on - then train through the week to apply the plan at the weekend. There seems to be this thought, I suppose it's because it's the parts we see, that it's all about tactical genius on match days - but successful games and seasons are mostly won on the training pitch - in all sports."

Re: Moyes Out
"""Moyes is defensive minded but falling into the trap of thinking that lining our players up with less defenders means we'll win more. We wouldn't."" I disagree, and he rarely played this system last season. I said seven men behind the ball. I've told you multiple times to listen to Antonio's podcast, where in one episode he explains how he tells the players to stick to a rigid plan, even if we go a goal behind and only chase the game when he decides. how would any player, especially ones with the ability of rice, paqueta or scamacca be happy playing under that cսnt. my philosophy is defend from the front, not sit back and welcome pressure which is what he's done every game this season. this style of play is unsustainable for success (winning)"
Re: Moyes Out
Your opinion on what's wrong should be given to Moyes and his coaches. They could do with a good laugh.

Re: Moyes Out
"Nope Willtell, at the start Moyes had them pressing and harrying the opposition so we could get the ball and go on the attack.....that has stopped from about midway through last season......he over played an already tired team.....now he has a chance to change this with decent rotation....but has shrunk into his shell and expects everyone bar the three front players to be defenders first......"
Re: Moyes Out
Not really Miike. Side of Ham started mentioning defenders. Someone else spoke about having 7 defenders behind the ball. I thought that was you. Whatever. Moyes is defensive minded but falling into the trap of thinking that lining our players up with less defenders means we'll win more. We wouldn't. We're stuck with Moyes defensive mindset which has got us to regular European football. We need another £160m window before we can start being more adventurous is my take on it. Half the team are not top 6 players and not capable of a more adventurous game. We're getting there though...

Re: Moyes Out
"It is a very sound reason to have a go at Moyes for basically having three players who's main intent is to attack, and the rest whether defenders or midfielders are expected to defend first and if possible attack as a secondary option but above all keep the defensive shape over attacking""¶..we can do better than this with the players we now have""¶.especially against an out of form Southampton""¶."
