"twoeftfeet 12:14 Sun Oct 23 Re: Moyes Out Joke thread. Saved us from relegation. 2 seasons we have qualified for Europe Europa cup semi finalists Qualified from the Europa Conference league Yet some of you want the bad old days back. yes, and about three weeks ago you wanted him sacked. you hypocrite cսnt"
Re: Moyes Out
"No, it's two years in Europe full stop. Simple as that. You can't start making up your own rules. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Moyes, he's done an exceptional job since his return. I'm not saying that his position shouldn't be questioned at this moment, because it should, but some people have ridiculously short memories."
Re: Moyes Out
As good a job as he has done it's only 2 years in Europe cos they've created an extra pony competition which means 7th qualifies. Not knocking finishing 7th but the Europe thing should come with an asterisks next to it.

Re: Moyes Out
"I always wonder why people think that you just get manager x from another team and we will do much better. Its like, how long have you been watching football, like seriously? How many times has that worked? Even in recent times we've seen Ancelloti do fuck all at Everton, even with money to spend as well. We've seen Porch do fuck all comparatively at PSG with Mbappe, Neymar and Mess. Nuno at Spurs... Allegri doing fuck all at Juve right now etc. etc I dont know why people think getting a new manager in instantly solves everything all the time. Its such a big gamble. As much I want trophies etc.. what our club has needed the most is stability and competence. The biggest thing Moyes can actually do is to remove us from the relegation conversation completely. 5yrs of top 10 finishes and to be fair, that will be a job well done really."

Re: Moyes Out
RR Funnily enough a mate of mine who's Villa said the exact same thing last night before their game with Fulham. I don't think it's got to the point of wanting to get hammered by Bournemouth to get Moyes and he sack. I've only ever felt wanting west ham to get battered by a club in hope the manager gets the sack with Allardyce and Moyes is nowhere near as bad as that slab head.

Re: Moyes Out
Not just this season it is from December last season in the league that we have been poor.
Re: Moyes Out
"By which time, we'll be left with Sean Dyche, Nigel Adkins and Phil Brown to choose from."
Re: Moyes Out
"Yeah, after what happened with Martin O'Neill we'd probably be the last club to try to sniff out a potential new manager before sacking the current one. So the owners will wait until we're threatened by relegation, sack him and look for a manager to save us from the drop, and then they'd look at all the available ones who have a history of doing that and they'd pick Moyes again ;) I can't see Moyes leaving this season at all but he'll be gone asap if and when GSB sell up."

Re: Moyes Out
"Yea, we know that, ffs, but my point still stands. They will only sack him when they are good and ready. not because there are potentially a couple of top coaches available. Do you need me to say it for a third time?"
Re: Moyes Out
"Manuel 12:47 Thu Oct 20 Re: Moyes Out Our results in the league, especially away from home since the turn of the year have been dire. He's done a decent job, but we won't progress under him. It's time to say thank you, but goodbye."
Re: Moyes Out
Who the fuck said Poch is interested in coming here? And it seems Tuchel has his eyes on the England job.

Re: Moyes Out
"While it's a valid point that there are two top coaches available that we could potentially get, I don't think that's how it works, i.e you don't sack your manager just because there is someone else out there available that might be better. Moyes will only get sacked if results continue to be shit, although the owners may give him slightly less time than they may do normally if the aforementioned seem interested. Won't be happening now though."
Re: Moyes Out
"With Poch (seemingly interested) and Tuchel (loves London) we are mad not letting Moyes go. He's done a job, but it's time for change."

Re: Moyes Out
"If I have to read about our apparent bad luck again ffs We've been fucking shit this season, in the main. A team that starts every game, regardless of opposition, with 10 men behind the ball doesn't deserve any 'luck'. I think we've more been lucky. Villa dominated the game against us, and we scored the flukiest goal you'll ever see. Wolves dominated the ball, but lacked a cutting edge, and we scored with our first meaningful attack after half an hour. Fulham, without their main man, hit the bar at 0-1, if that goes in we're in big trouble as we made them look like Real Madrid in that first half. We've been shit. Quite why people try to find excuses for it is baffling. When the manager continually picks Fornals & Soucek, when the whole fucking world can see they are shit, is even more baffling."
Re: Moyes Out
I think it obvious we're in for a relegation battle this year. League take shape after 12 or so games & I can't see us being miles away from the bottom 3 anytime soon. Personally think there are lots of worrying signs this season.

Re: Moyes Out
"OTB, that was always my argument but things changed when they committed £180m on players after he previously couldn't get the best out of other big money signings like haller, emerson, vlasic, etc. this safety first horse shit he's serving up isn't working and I don't see how it will get better as he's inflexible to any other way of playing. by all means, keep supporting the point a game grind but don't expect others to enjoy it coma-nist, I pity the poor cunts that have to sit near you"

Re: Moyes Out
Russ of the BML 11:42 Thu Oct 20 I agree with you 100%. My point is that it won't change unless we look like we're going down and they feel they need to protect their investment. WE all want ambition and to build upon the foundations that Moyes has laid. THEY don't.
