Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
"Just read thru last 6-10 pages. Unanimous on this site that we make the change. My stance was keep him this season so long as we are not flirting with relegation and improvements can be seen. Well he is failing in both counts. There is little chance of the owners making a change this season and no chance before tge WC as much as that might make sense to most of us. Moyes will say he has not had Aguerd and injuries to players have disrupted plans and that the Thurs/Sunday schedule is taking its toll as it did for Leicester, Burnley etc in the past. They will buy into that. He will say this months break will be the mini preseason he needs to fix a lot of the problems and they will bring in another striker. The Thursday/ Sunday schedule will be cited as the reason why he and the coaching team have had no time to work on the transition of our play. The owners are reluctant to change as they usually make an even bigger mess as history shows. They will believe / trust Moyes still. Personally I will be pleasantly surprised if anything really changes much in Jan. I suspect an injury to Rice or Paqueta or Aguerd or Zouma or all of them when we resume. It's got that feel / vibe yet again and we old gits should know having seen 45 -,50 seasons of struggle over the last 60 odd years. I like Stewie, Norf and others, want to see a younger manager with modern ideas who has a bit of a track record of success at more than 1 club and ideally at a least one club that was not one of the richest. Tuchel made his name at Dortmund but learned his craft at Mainz where his stats were not spectacular just ok. He will probably wait for a bigger opportunity though? Frank would for me be better than Poch as whoever gets it needs to bring a philosophy that is used across all teams and would also need to cope with a few holes in the squad assuming they came this season. Anyway, what is clear is that Moyes DNA is about sticking with what worked and not reacting or adapting to change. For the record, I believe we will lose against Leicester who looked excellent against a hard running and pressing Everton side. I also had little confidence for the Palace game as I had watched a couple of their games and seen Vierra has instilled a pass and move system, high pressure and pace. These are our kryptonite or should I say Moyes's as it was for Pellegrini and Allardyce. And you know nothing much is gonna change as the club are looking at extending Cresswells contract. The highs of lockdown and that 18 month period may be as good as it gets for a while unless Kretinski really does have an influence and is far more ambitious. We hope so based on the spend this summer but we are gonna find out one way or the other in the next few months assuming things do not get better results wise"

Re: Moyes Out
"you know the dwarf is back to his clown world best when he's employing one of moyes favourite scouts, who was with him when he was relegated at sunderland. you can't make up this level of shit"
Re: Moyes Out
"One of my biggest problems with GSB has been the way they change managers with no thought about whether they fit the current team of players. So we blindly go from one style of football to another, having to slowly rebuild the squad and sell at a big loss those who don't fit with the new manager. On the plus side, most of the players we bought this summer don't really fit Moyes style at all, so it should be easier to change things up. There must be loads of managers with an attacking, positive mindset who'd love to have players like Scamacca and Paqueta at their disposal. I doubt the board have ever really thought about the long term seriously anyway. It beggars belief that it was left to Moyes to instigate an improvement in scouting, including for youth players who Moyes will never work with anyway."
Re: Moyes Out
"We can't play at a decent pace, we done it with Lingard cos he could run with the ball at speed. He has got the signings massively wrong which is gonna cost him, Scamacca & Paqueta are both too slow to play in a counter attacking side. How the cսnt can't realise that is beyond me."
Re: Moyes Out
We actually need ot buy another striker. Antonio's experiement as a no 9 is over and to get the best out of him we need to play him in that wide right side attacking role he was in when Arnie was our no 9.

Re: Moyes Out
"I want him out before he ruins Scamacca the same way he did Haller and Vlasic withn his tactics. He plays a defensive counter attacking game had yet he plays a 6'5"" CF. I mean thats just one iof many of huis fuck ups. In the end the stats don't lie and we haven't impoved since Jan 2022 besides spending 180m on new signings. Three being starters for Germany, Brazil and Italy. I'm scared the board will leave it too late like with Grant."
Re: Moyes Out
"Percy thats strange thought exact same when watching the Leeds highlights. Every team seems to have pace when running with the ball and/or runners in behind to stretch teams. We just play shit passes in front of 2 banks of 4 before mainly attacking use our shit full backs. Try and cross to Scamacca ball gets cleared Rice picks up plays wide to wingers who dont try beat a man ball rolled back to full back, shit cross.... cleared, recycled by Rice and repeat Was madness he didnt put Antonio up front with Scamacca to stretch the centre backs and to run in behind to give Scamacca more space in the box Said it for months and months we never run beyond and its infuriating"

Re: Moyes Out
Looking at all the other teams on MOTD is it me or does everyone else look like they're playing at supersonic speed whereas we look like we've just come from the pub. Our fitness level seems to have dropped alarmingly and what's going on with Bowen he's just a shadow from last season. Can't continue like this give him the Leicester game then give him the bullet

"The games changing/changed and we now have 11 players pressing 11 players leaving no time. We can only make four or five passes as the opponents are in on us. And then Moyes just sits back and invites them on. It's not the right tactics now, there's more energy required than ever."

Re: Moyes Out
"I wanted Bielsa before he went to Leeds. Many on here said his high intensity style just knackers players out before the end of the season. I would still take him despite his last few minutes nths at Leeds as we have a better squad than them. Pochetino too, both would be a big improvement on Moyes in terms of entertainment and ambition. Moyes is finished here, we simply can not accept the dull unambitious, ineffective football and poor results that have been going on for the last 10 months."
Re: Moyes Out
Watford would have replaced their manager 3 times over the last 10 months based on our results
Re: Moyes Out
"Outdated dinosaur defensive tactics now truly found out. Thanks, wish you well, time to leave the club David. The squad has very much outgrown your limited ability. Second rate Euro team opposition has papered over a truly shocking run of Prem results since January FFS. This is a top six squad. DM isn't motivating these lads or using them to best strengths."

Re: Moyes Out
Leeshere 11:49 Mon Nov 7 Are you serious or just being deliberately argumentative? Posters on this site were pointing out serious issues with the team / player performances as early as December 2021. The Europa campaign papered over a slowly dying PL form from January onwards. This isn't knee-jerk. This has been going on for almost a year now.

Re: Moyes Out
"Look at what has happened at one of the few teams we have beaten this season, Aston Villa. They sack the incompetent Gerrard, who also cannot read a game, played his favourites and only went like for like substitutions, sound familiar. They then bench the favourites including McGinn (our Soucek) attack from the off in the last two home games go 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes of both and end up scoring 4 and winning both games. Sack him now before it gets any worse. He cannot, or simply will not, drop his favourites or change anything. We will lose on Saturday and yet another 3 points that could be ours goes begging. Sack him now."

Re: Moyes Out
"I can't believe some on here would turn their noses up at Pochettino. Multiple top four finishes and cup finals with Tottenham. Yes, he didn't win a trophy, but to get that club to a Champions League final is the template of the progression a club like us could make under him. Only a superb Liverpool team denied Tottenham the Champions League! They should make Pochettino an offer he can't refuse and bin the dour, jock, dinosaur PRONTO."
Re: Moyes Out
"Of course we all want Poch but can I see it happening with our owners? I think most lilkely is Moyes managing on boxing day Poch will want assurances over budget and management and doubt he'd get much off the dildos. Wasnt Poch also manager at Spurs when he had a few run ins with Levy? Adebayor transfer etc?..... Surprised a lot slating Thomas Frank, he has done a terrific job at Brentford and bought well there too. Will more talent at his disposal I think he'd be a good bet"

"8 points from 30 end of last season, then the same at start this: 16/60, says it all."

"""More than anything, just trying to dispel the idea that he's out of our reach. He really isn't."" I agree 100% with that."
Re: Moyes Out
"I'm so bored with this now. The mistakes have been highlighted for 10 months plus. Youth, subs,Jan Signings, letting players contracts finish . Now we have the continuation of the poor form in the PL. i know we won 6 games in ECL but even then we made hard work of most of the fixtures. He got very lucky with the last game,he even wanted Fornals and Lanzini to stay behind. We only played 2 youth from the start. If it had been 4 we could have lost and Moyes could have said none of them were ready, again. Very Lucky Moyes. 12 goals all season and 2 LUCKY penalties. HIS LUCK HAS TRULY RUN OUT. If he stays for the Leicester game which he will,he might have a bit of luck and get a draw especially if Maddison is going to the World Cup which he should. He's taken us as far as he can ever have imagined. Lucky last year that some of the usual top team were poor. Oh Two can fuck off as well"
