"Mike 8.51 I wouldn't put it past Moyes to try that , but surely the board would have to shut the door on it - the loss on Haller due primarily to Moyes could surely not be stomached by the board regarding a fire sale of Scamacca. Cheaper to sack Moyes and his staff ."

"I would just say, Moyes has had Rodgers number recently when we've played them. Anyone, it doesn't matter what happens in this game. It would take actually being relegated before he loses his job. Clearly happy to spend £180mil to achieve mediocrity. Saying that, we're currently worse than mediocre."

"factory seconds it was noticeable on Sunday how many empty seats there were, especially in the upper tiers, it will be interesting how many will be there on Saturday. Moyes digging the supporters out and the supporters malaise may be his undoing"

"Yeh let's look at Leicester. They lost some key players and signed no replacements in the summer. Rodgers has also actually won a few honours Inc an FA cup with Leicester, and got Liverpool to Runners up in the Prem at a time when they hadn't had any success at all in the league for decades."

"i thought i was a fairly loyal soldier who despite my reservations would stick with the manager as long as he was in the job until in a moment of madness i listened to whetstone's podcast, where he described the morbid likelyhood that moyes would see out at least the season and probably his contract with the club unless relegation was nailed on. i actually think the most optimistic thing about watching this present incarnation of west ham is the knowledge that if it gets really bad then things will suddenly and drastically change for the better. if it just raises itself to ""not terrible but dull beyond belief"" then that could well remain the state of affairs for 18 months. at which point i'd be surprised if there's still enough people going to the stadium to bother opening it."

He didn't dither too much when it came to signing Hugill.

It's quite obvious what Moyes problem is. He is OK up to a point organizing a team to be hard to beat with some initial modest signings. The trouble comes when the fans expect the teams he has managed to raise their game. He talks about only signing players who will improve the team but I'm certain he has never really known how to do that. He only got Tim Cahill in at Everton after Simon Jordan at Palace point blank refused to pay his agent 700k - otherwise they practically had an agreement with Millwall for months before that. I think players are often bought in over his head due to his dithering nature. Often at the last minute. It is a weakness he has never conquered.

You just know what the line up will be against Leicester Even the dildos secretly must be questioning what's gone wrong the only hope is that there's a big reaction from the crowd on Saturday when it goes tits up again. Seems that's the only language they know and fair play to Rice for saying about the booing they're entitled to boo they pay their hard earned money. He went up another notch in my book didn't say the customary I didn't hear it.

"Biggest criticism of Moyes is his rigid tactics and persisting with same players week in week out, defensive attitude. The game has moved on, we are miles behind the likes of Brighton and Palace."

"Moyes and the board will say look at Leicester and they kept faith with their manager. But look at Newcastle, got rid off an old school manager and replaced him with a modern progressive one."

"Yeah, the dour cսnt has credit in the bank alright, he is on ¬£3 million a year! Apart for his negative tactics, continually starting with players who are in poor form and digging out Benni, the biggest problem I have with him is the fact he never holds his hands up/takes it on the chin that he is at fault. That is the sign of someone who never admits they're wrong and will therefore not learn from their mistakes. Time for him to go."

"if he stays, don't rule out him doing something stupid like moving on scamacca and bringing in a more basic type of striker like brereton diaz. it's why he needs to go,before these players start asking for a route away from him"

To add the decline started when Moyes refused to buy anyone in the January. This cost us possibly a trophy and a top 4 finish .

"Moyes has done a great job for us since returning for his second stint but, sadly for him, the club has now outgrown him and we desperately need a change Our results in the league have been truly appalling since the start of 2022 It's all very well pointing to our success in the Europa Conference but those results have been against very inferior opposition, as the kids proved last week The football has been absolutely dire, particularly since the players he has to choose from are some of the best in the world after his £180m summer spending spree, where he has been heavily backed by the board Rice is among the best defensive midfielders, Paqueta is Brazil's no 10, which speaks for itself, Scamacca is Italy's no 1 striker, Kehrer is Germany's most regular starter, Areola is a top goalkeeper for France, Zouma had been playing at top level for Chelsea before coming to us It isn't the players, who all seem to be getting progressively worse week after week They just don't look motivated or even look like they're confident to know what they're supposed to be doing Moyes has been good at picking up average players on the cheap and getting the most out of them, but doesn't seem to have a clue how to integrate quality players into the side to play as a team His style of play is one dimensional and the other sides in the league have learned how to deal with it with relative ease Then he insults the fans by calling us experts when they booked his ridiculous decision to substitute Benrahma who he later claimed to be injured You have to question why our poor results and poor performances have been more since Pearce went Perhaps Pearce was having more of an influence than thought? It might also be significant that our best little run of results happened when Moyes was off with COVID and Irving was running the show! If we gain a handsome victory against Leicester then perhaps he earns a reprieve but anything less, he has to go in my opinion It's all very well saying that we were unlucky against Chelsea, Liverpool and Man U and played well but in truth we didn't. We only started to play in the last 20 or so minutes of those games and all 3 of those teams have been playing poorly and losing points to teams currently near the bottom of the league I'm sick of the frightened, negative boring football that we're playing under Moyes, particularly when we're not getting results and Moyes is clearly destroying the confidence of our best players Thanks for the past efforts but times up. Time to move on"

"If we lose to Leicester I wonder if the break will come at a good or bad time for him? If we lose Saturday the next game is at Arsenal, so after that game on Boxing day we will likely be bottom 3."

It's depressing that there are still people who think Moyes is the answer. How many signs do you need?
