Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
I don't think our league position will put managers off. A few wins and we will be back top 8 or so. Plus fairly good chance to win a trophy. Most managers will take that.
Re: Moyes Out
"Cheezey. This is not a sticky spell. It's a year off dross. With 2 highlights in Europe. A missed opportunity in the easiest semi final quartet . I repeat, no youth,(actually pissing them off so they leave ) no signings,no adventure, defence no 1, disorganised, now discontent in the ranks. As others have said 5 at the back against a Championship 2nd XI is worse than actually Allaydyce. Leicester had problems going into the season, still played better football and you could see Rodgers was better organised. I can't see the squad believing in him during the 6 weeks with no games.it will only get worse then we'll have a few more weeks of poor results. Then the board will stick with him. btw can't see Paquetta,Kehrer or Rice wanting to play in saturday"
Re: Moyes Out
"The potential relegation scrap will put off some of the names that are being touted on here. All the owners care about is staying in this league, anything else is an absolute bonus. And they'll probably gamble on Moyes being able to do that, and so would I. That doesn't mean the second half of the season won't be another shit show, but I really don't think they will pull trigger on him unless we were staring relegation in the face. And let's be honest, we're not. Still a lot of football games to play, and the owners know that too."
Re: Moyes Out
"euro results against mainly second rate teams, have papered over a really bad prem run all fucking year ... not just this season. time for change."
Re: Moyes Out
"He's now worse than Allardyce ever was cupping his ear etc. Digging out the fans, the players and now refusing to trun up to press conferences. He's finished. However the only thing that matters is when he goes. If the cսnt owners wait until after the world cup I'm afraid were going down"

Re: Moyes Out
I wonder what his coaching team are doing to help. Do they question whether 5 defenders against Blackburn is a good idea or do they not have a say? I think Moyes' time has gone since he had a pop at the fans at the weekend. You should never do that even if you think what you have said is right. It was the same with Big Sam. Rice in contrast said he understands the fans frustration and he would have booed as well. I think West Ham is a club where perhaps more than most you have to keep the fans onside. We are actually very patient considering what have been through over the years. Moyes also isn't consistent. He spent last year moaning about lack of strength in depth and then didn't buy anyone in January. When we get lots of new players he then says they all need time etc etc. I do think Moyes is type of manager that likes a small group - no superstars etc. He can work with that and get them performing. That only tends to work for teams in lower divisions or lower end of league though. Moyes has been good for us but we have been very good for him. He will get another good job after us.

Re: Moyes Out
"SB, but has he even tried to push on this year? he's took us backwards despite the third highest spend in Europe (I'm sure I heard that right on a podcast). he has no idea how to relate to players with greater technical ability, and seems to stifle any invention of imagination with this obsession of sitting deep and keeping it tight. I can't remember a league game this year other than the man city one at the back end of the season, where we were on the front foot from the off. if he continues, these expensive signings will be gone. they already look confused and pissed off, give it another few months and the range will be irreparable"

Re: Moyes Out
"That said, IF we are going to change manager then we HAVE to be sure about the man who comes in. By 'sure', I mean back him (as a club) with time and resources over a period - not this feast or famine approach of the last few years. But that'll be tricky, because whoever comes in will be straight into what is effectively a relegation scrap."

Re: Moyes Out
"I'm generally not a fan of changing managers 'mid-stream', or of the huge managerial churn in the Premier League. You really can't build much if you just keep changing managers every couple of years, as we have discovered since Redknapp was replaced with Roeder. So there's part of me still wanting Moyes to win on Saturday and push on as he/the team has in the past two years. But 5-4-1 last night, at home against a Championship side's reserves, was spectacularly negative thinking and did indicate that we have a manager who has run out ideas, momentum and time. Lose at home to Leicester on Saturday and I think he's in serious trouble."
Re: Moyes Out
"I feel he is keeping the job on the basis on a European run, one they some would do well to remember we didn't win. The way some go on you'd think he'd won the treble. He has a done a job over the 3 years but it's so obviously the end."
Re: Moyes Out
I think there is little doubt that Moyes has reached the limit of his ability. He had chances at Man Utd and Real Sociedad and failed. He couldn't even keep Sunderland from relegation. OK he achieved avoiding relegation and got into minor European competitions with us. However once he has a budget to improve the squad he flounders about hence his Dithering Dave nickname. That shows us all his limit. It's obvious his approach to management is to avoid defeat but when it's time for an attacking approach he just doesn't know how so the players see this and lose faith and respect in him. If our directors haven't noticed how poor we've been since the start of the calendar year then it just confirms that they have no ambition for the club beyond surviving in PL.

Re: Moyes Out
"Agree with the last two posts Think we have all seen the dog days of previous managers play out to recognize that Moyes is in that period. Didnt go last night but could see the frustration in the players v Palace. They dont believe in what they are being asked to do as they know it isnt working. Moyes response is not to seek solutions but to double down on what he has been doing. Keep banging his head against the same wall and hoping something turns up. After the debacle of Pellegrini he steadied the ship but his sell by date has passed and he is being lapped by decent managers of inferior teams ie Potter with Brighton earlier & Vieria with Palace last Sunday. Watched Leicester last weekend who Rodgers has turned around after their slow start, Schmeichel & Fofana leaving & Tielemans unsettled etc. Were excellent v Everton with the curly haired Belgian at the back & Maddison, Tielemans & Barnes running riot. Could well be a heavy defeat if they bring that form which MUST be the end. Surely?"

"He took us forward to about where we should be""¶..he did it by getting the team to graft for each other and reap the rewards""¶.now that has gone""¶.it seems to coincide with Antonio deciding he wants to play for the reggae boys and Soucek drops back and goes to shit for Rice to be more attack minded""¶."

Re: Moyes Out
"A manager should not be judged on what they have done but what they are going to do. Moyes has hit the wall. He has no proven ability to take a team beyond where he has taken us. There is no evidence to suggest he is able to pick, buy and play top players successfully. There is no history of him winning anything, ever. There was a moment when it appeared he had learned something. He banged on about the RB model, he appeared to play some swashbuckling football and he appeared a little humbled by his previous experiences of failure. Unfortunately, he has fallen into the Allardyce trap of the world being against him, calling out fans, playing not to lose rather than to win, relying on Kevin Nolan and having a number of favourite players and agents to make odd buys - let's never forget Jordan Hugill from his friends club PNE."

Re: Moyes Out
Surely kretinsky who was there last night has seen enough. To know that Moyes has lost the players . Moyes dosent deserve Saturday. He cannot and will not change his ways .

Re: Moyes Out
5-4-1 at home against lower level Blackburn rovers B team. Fornals sounded like he was having a good game. So why was he taken off ? Moyes has run out of ideas.
Re: Moyes Out
"All this he has taken us forwards nonsense. Maybe he did, but he is now taking us backwards at full speed. I don't know how anyone can stand by him. There isn't even a glimmer that we are getting any better. He can change shape, tactics or use the new personnel: that is glaringly obvious for all to see"

Re: Moyes Out
"If you're Moyes in then you're still stuck in the past as a West Ham fan, he's taken us as far as he can and the longer we leave it the less chance we have of getting a decent replacement, no time for sentiment anymore in football unfortunately so thanks for what you done but it's game over."

Re: Moyes Out
Personally I would stick with him. All managers go through sticky spells. And I miss us not being a sacking club and prefer stability to bringing in men with a big reputation who turn out to be shit.

Re: Moyes Out
I've been Moyes Out for 6 months... Seen every league game and Europa... He's over his head and wasted millions for the club.... Relegation costs 100million... OUT...!!!
