Re: Moyes Out
I feel sick and absolutely gutted that the board are reported to be backing Moyes https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63613601 I'm not surprised of course but hoped that Sullivan and co would see sense. If they knew anything about football they'd realise that once a team go into a downward spiral it's very rare that the manager pulls them out of it. In fact what usually happens is that the manager 'loses the dressing room' and things only get worse. Nine times out of ten it takes a new face to have any chance of salvaging the situation. Moyes is now a dead man walking. He's spent £170 mill and made us worse. But the worst part is he's clearly in denial claiming yesterday that we played well. When you can't face up to the truth then you're no longer capable of dealing with the problems. He's a busted flush and because he'll still be here after the WC then the owners will deserve the catastrophic consequences.

"Eerie Descent 4:54 Sun Nov 13 I agree generally. However, would you take someone like Scaloni if Argentina do poorly enough? Would love Hansi Flick if the Germans properly self-destruct. Probably a dream that he would consider it but not too different than Tuchel."
Re: Moyes Out
This is the West Ham board we're talking about. Do you really think they are that organised. They will wait until it's too late and bring in someone to work a miracle.

Re: Moyes Out
Just pay Moyes up the remainder of his contract. These rumours of him needing 5 points in the next 3 games to save his job just show who's still running the club . The short arsed cretin never learns.
Re: Moyes Out
The board would have been looking at what's available for probably the last few weeks and I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't already negotiated a deal for when they sack Moyes

Re: Moyes Out
"The big problem, as some have pointed out, is if we're still shit after the WC and he absolutely has to be sacked, we won't be able to attract the same class of manager who we'd be able to attract now. It's a proper fucking shit show."

Re: Moyes Out
"My big worry is that the board will back him until the end of january, then realise he cannot turn things around. We blew the opportunity of bringing a new manager before the WC with all the time to work with the squad and too late to bring a few reinforcements in. We will be a less interesting option for any available manager at that moment. We all know Moyes is not capable of this transistion we need with the players we have. We are 3 months in the season and we are not getting better, we are getting worse. Dont delay the inevitable. Put him and us out of our misery!"
Re: Moyes Out
"Fraser 2:10 100% correct. Getting the players fit is the bare fucking minimum, to not do it is 1 thing, to publicly admit it is another. It's like saying to your bosses fuck you I'll do what I want. Should have been sacked on the spot there and then. Why hasn't this arrogant cսnt been sacked yet? Board have got no bollocks."

Re: Moyes Out
His body language and belligerence says he's on borrowed time. Everton will sack Lampard shortly leaving just us and an improving Forest as the strugglers who have sat on their hands and done nothing.

"Swiss - Yea, same point I made earlier, the new signings have thrown him out of his comfort zone, and as you outline it's left him in a right old pickle. Not gonna end well is it."
Re: Moyes Out
"Fuck me I can't believe we let this cսnt spend so much money. What a waste, Another important point is that even if we manage to survive would you still have Moyes next season? I think even the Moyes diehards will say no. So why not change it now?"
Re: Moyes Out
"Point 1. Can Moyes keep us up? Yes, but that will probably mean grinding out results and leaving out our new signings. Point 2. Can Moyes take us down? Yes, if he keeps trying integrate the new signings which is not working. Will he take us down? Yes as he will pursue Point 2. As how can he justify spending 180m and leaving them on the bench."

Re: Moyes Out
"The whole season has been a disaster so far. Pre-season was a really worrying indication of how this was going to go. Injuries to Aguerd and Dawson, an unfit Ogbonna, lacklustre performances from fullbacks and Kehrer making multiple mistakes, Johnson nervy means we are porus defensively and not much of a threat at setplays. The biggest issue for me is we have too few players that can carry a ball. Its always a pass sideways or backwards or a panic punt upfield. This lack of skill, pace and mindset leaves us completely devoid of opening up sides, drawing teams out of shape or creating dangerous attacks. Safe predictable play coupled with the odd attempt from a corner of free kick is all we muster. Teams know if they press us then we will either make a mistake and lose it or panic and clear it thus giving them back the ball. Moyes clearly promotes this safe style of play which seems to me to have taken away any cutting edge or level of unpredictability. Players like Benrahma, Fornals and Paqueta need more license to try things, be more inventive and accept that a lot wont come off, there will be poor decisions, play will break down but at least it will show intent. They need to form some understanding with each other on and off the pitch. The whole gameplan is stale, mundane and doesnt get the best out of the players. The longer this continues the more the confidence drops and unhappiness festers. I get the feeling there is already issues in the camp. Moyes stuborness and lack of tactical nous is not compatible with top quality players who can do so much more than the basics. The World Cup gives him a second chance to get it right but I remain unconvinced that he will do anything more than he has always done as he thinks that is what makes a team successful. Remind me what he has won?"

"Moyes seems to have lost his way, I don't know what's happened to us but we look a shadow of the side we were 2 years ago. Wondering whether we'd be better with Mark Noble taking over as manager."

Re: Moyes Out
"At the very least, we should bring in a new backroom coach to give a different perspective and new opinions, assess what's going wrong with a fresh perspective."
Re: Moyes Out
"My first game was in 1970. I want Moyes out. You cannot compare now to the 70's and 80's. To get relegated now can mean financial disaster to a club. Players don't want to stay and play in the Championship so they end up being sold for far less than they should be worth. There's no guarantee of returning quickly, if at all, which can mean financial ruin to a club."
Re: Moyes Out
"FFS it's not hard to grasp is it, he's the manager of our club. A big part of that job is to have us ready for the season.. He didn't do that by his own admission, so hasn't done the job he's paid to do. I don't remember John Lyall doing stuff like that... As eerie says 30 years ago is irrelevant, and it's insulting comparing the great man to the dour scotch cսnt."

Re: Moyes Out
I read somewhere that the board are 100% behind Moyes. At most other clubs that's a kiss of death but at West Ham that means carry on you're doing a great job.
