"https://www.claretandhugh.info/zouma-aguerd-updates-as-london-derbies-beckon/ As some predicted, a patched up CB partnership of Dawson and Johnson or Kehrer against Arsenal on Boxing Day. Suspect these injuries will take longer than predicted just like Cornet's calf strain which was at the beginning of Oct for 2 weeks :-( The planets are aligning and its getting very dark."

Vlasic was dogshit and has been dogshit in this world cup. Rooney has done an interview where he states he felt Moyes held him back as a youth and was jealous of his relationship with Duncan Ferguson.

No I don't know what you mean. You obviously didn't even watch the game and so didn't have a clue how many minutes or how well Vlasic did but decided to bump up this thread anyway. Scoring in a penalty shootout doesn't make you a good player or mean you played well in the game. Thick cսnt.

"Vlasic playing 120 minutes in a quarter final in the world cup, and scoring a penalty. But not good enough for Moyes. Bought for 20m and sent on loan to Torino. Possibly sold for 12m. Vlasic in, Moyes out"

"Sir Alf. Great posts. Right on the button. Jury's still out on Johnson and the ""òbenefit of the doubt' time is running out fast. Hope he plays well every game but he just becomes ""òPercy Panic' every time. Would also like to see a few of the youngsters get a regular run out (from the bench, as and when). They bring the speed (not the drug, but then again""¶.) and sharpness that seems to have gone in to full time hibernation (not just winter)! Come on West Ham. You can do it!!"

"I'm dreading the season's restart. Once we've been tonked by Arsenal and then by Brentford, another of our many bogey sides, I just can't see how we're likely to recover. I've lost all faith in Moyes and his coaches and allowing him to stick around to fuck the club up is going to be the biggest mistakes of Sullivan and his incompetent gang."

"The increased valuation he wants might be the thing that helps as both he and GSB will take a hit in the valuation, if we get relegated Nope. GSB have agreed a share option price, for any future share sale to Kretinsky. That price doesn't change if we are relegated or in the Champion's League. Kretinksy may well not exercise his option if we are relegated, but the option price doesn't change."

"We don't need more players, we just need someone to get more out of the existing ones. We had a decent squad that was playing some good stuff until it ran out of steam and ideas, we knocked City out of a cup they virtually owned and had some good results (at home it has to be said) against the top teams. We've added some real quality but they haven't got a clue what they're meant to be doing and they look unfit. That has been surprising as Dour's motto is if you don't run you don't play!"

"I listened to a czech football expert one of the yt channels before he invested, he said he's very frugal (tight as fuck) and the team weren't as competitive after he took over. I'm not sure how we could be any less competitive, but I agree that he's far from the answer we're looking for. those bastards in charge can't help but leave us in the shit, the complete opposite of the midas touch"

"Agree MT. Without significant change to first 11 ( and that includes bringing in at least another striker ) , in tactics and fitness and running to press and make the tactic of keeping possession work, and selecting the first 11 from players who can pass and control the ball above 90% accuracy, and playing players in their best positions and having the courage to make in game changes early enough to prevent us going behind. The quick fix / sticking plaster might just be a really top goalscorer that takes a very high percentage of chances but they cost north of 50 million. Sullivan ain't and rightly so gonna trust Moyes with that and besides after tge summer spend we are told just loans in Jan. Also, from what I'm reading about additional shares for Kretinski, there seems little chance of him buying the club. He's an investor looking to make a quick Buck imo. The sale may happen in 2023 or 2024 but the increased valuation on his shares is what he wants based on his investments in Sainsbury, Lost office. The increased valuation he wants might be the thing that helps as both he and GSB will take a hit in the valuation if we get relegated and based on form and the above mentioned need for change, that's where we are headed. Finally, where the fvck is Moyes? I know someone who does the data analysis and stats over at West Ham. He said it's Nolan assisted by Warbarton and McKinley that are doing all the hands on work with the team on drills and training, fitness etc. No wonder tge ghost of BFS is so evident in the way we play?"

"a few of us see saying many weeks ago he had to be replaced. all we got was 'wait until the world cup/january' and look where we are now. a point off the drop, a captain who wants out, the two best cbs fucked, a manager who has no idea how to use our record signing and likewise, can't work with any striker that has technical abilty. but yes, it was well worth waiting"

"Think you might be being generous saying we will be lucky to finish mid table Tex :-( Based on this season, the dysfunction you rightly highlight, I genuinely do not see 3 worse teams. Moyes old guard and tactics are known and easily nullified now by every team. Many of the players that got results in that unique lockdown period of no crowds are ageing too but worse still almost all of them are technically wanting. Antonio had pace and strength and little else. Passing and control is literally amateur level. 33 next birthday and a long contract , no wonder he is in retirement mode. Stick him out wide is the only chance of him being useful now IMO and that may well be as an impact sub. Making him a striker went to his head a bit. He is shockingly poor now. Soucek is too slow and another that is technically poor. Squad player at best but picked every game. Dawson a great competitor but age catching up and while he had a great 2 seasons, he ain't gonna improve and yet another not comfortable on the ball and with passing, control. And too slow. Coufal is Championship or league 1 standard like Soucek IMO. Love their attitudes and commitment but they ain't Premiership standard. Fab cannot use his feet. Great shot stopper but another that looks old and slow on his feet. Great backup goalkeeper but not first choice imo. Johnson and Zouma, physically good and strong but need to pass short and simple as both cannot distribute / pass over a distance. Cresswell too old and slow. Good backup in the squad but not first 11. Another that gets played every game. Lanzini is finished at Prem level. Never really recovered from that injury before last WC. Fornals is never a wide man and should never play there. Downes is not an advanced midfielder and should never play there. Paqueta is more of a number 8, and plays deeper with the ball in front of him and lots of movement. Not a number 10. We have 1 striker who plays better in a pair but is always played as a lone target man. He is and never was a lone target man. We cannot fill all the holes in the squad in Jan but need another striker and wing backs minimum. It seems we have the new set of players suited to playing possession football and the existing ones mostly better in a counter attacking set up in Moyesball style. The manager and coaching sticking mostly with what worked from 2 seasons back. Without tactical changes, fitness and improved pressing, speed and a new striker we are going to continue to sink. I keep struggling to think of 3 teams worse than us"
