Moyes Out ( Released )
"Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore. I'm fed up, we can do much better"
Re: Moyes Out
Before the world cup was the last opportunity to sack the prick and still have some sort of season. Mid September it was clear to those with half a clue that this situation was coming. He should have been sacked then. Its fucking madness that he's still here. A pen and a defensive howler last night got us a draw but two shots on target and 37% possession is fucking dogshit against a terrible side. Sack him for fucks sake.

Re: Moyes Out
Westside 11:28 Thu Jan 5 That's sentimental bollocks. If Sulli wanted to show the fans he was decisive and up to the job he'd sack Moyes today regardless of Gold's death. I know that's how I would see it. Moyes should've been sacked before the WC. Doing it now has no link to Gold's death whatsoever.

Re: Moyes Out
"Elite modern football management should be regarded as just another high performance, high target, highly remunerated private sector job. In what other private sector senior level role would consistent poor performance be tolerated? Yes, past performance until January 2022 was good, but Moyes has performed poorly and not met targets for a year now. His job is clearly on the line because of poor performance and 'credit in the bank' doesn't wash. Sullivan and Kretinsky will pull the trigger at some point this month if we don't get another league win (up coming games: Wolves away, Everton home), I'm sure of that. I would imagine they are giving the three remaining January games including the non-consequential cup game at Brentford on Saturday. Fail to beat Wolves or Everton and he will be toast. Everton is on 21st January and there is no game after until Newcastle on 4 February, so it would be a logical time to fire him. It would give the new manager the end of the transfer window to get in some loan signings and two weeks to prepare for the Newcastle game. Personally, I wouldn't give Moyes any more games, but we all know Sullivan is a 'loyal' ditherer who tends to dally when it comes to making these decisions."
Re: Moyes Out
Stowie. 100 percent - I really think we will go down with him in charge. We needed 4 points from the last 3 games and need 6 and 7 from the next 4. Won't happen in a million years. We got 1 point from those 3 We'll get 3 points max from the next 4. We're sleep walking towards relegation.
Re: Moyes Out
"Credit in the bank thing drives me insane, anyone would think he worked for nothing. Simple question is, we're gonna probably have to win 6 possibly 7 but at least 6 to have any chance if staying up. You include 3 draws on top that means we have to go unbeaten in half our games left. Ain't happening with this wanker in charge."

Re: Moyes Out
This 'credit in the bank' term being used should be backed with the the fact he won't be likely getting anymore money to spend to fix his mess. If it were teething problems then fine but we are talking about a squad of players who don't excel or cannot find a way around the fact they've been found out......his 'credit in the bank' was built on a system we now cannot get decent results with. These pundits suggesting 'credit' are either thick or want West Ham to remain where they are......

"I don't know which idiot (O'Hara or Saunders) on TalkSport said it last night, but they're adamant on ""giving Moyes time"" and ""he's got credit in bank"". We've been shit for over a year now. Makes me wonder how much credit people are prepared to give him."
Re: Moyes Out
"Romfordboy 11:01 Thu Jan 5 Agree about 2 half decent full backs making a difference. Johnson was doing ok then like Kehrer played him in different positions and he struggled at CB particularly so he dropped him never to be seen again in the starting 11. We also critically need some pace across the team. Try Downes in place of Soucek as many of us have been saying since Oct last year. Might not make a difference but I guarantee he will get more touches and interceptions and higher passing accuracy stats. Doesn't win games but means we get and keep the ball a little better. Play Fornals centrally too. And get Bowen closer to Scamacca. Simple changes that seem so obviously worth trying. But we need at least 1 full back and another quicker striker brought in asap. Soucek, Antonio ( finished other than as late sub or out wide) Coufal, Cresswell must never start unless injuries. Dawson and Fabianski need to be eased out too asap even though no complaints on Dawson particularly. Fab great shot stopper but cannot play with his feet. Last night changed nothing other than Moyes realised, 2 months after most in here, that Paqueta is a deeper lying midfielder. We were a little better but should have lost in reality."

"Westside - Genuine question, why would it offend anyone or be seen as crass if a manager gets sacked shortly after a co-owner dies, where is the link? Well, clearly the board think it, as Moves is still in office."

"We've always played shit in the London Stadium but our away form always masked it. However for the last year we have been shit home and away. Moyes tactics have been sussed out by the opposition with disastrous dips in form for the likes of Souchek, Coufal, Antonio, Bowen plus carrying Cresswell for the past three years have taken their toll."

"Westside - Genuine question, why would it offend anyone or be seen as crass if a manager gets sacked shortly after a co-owner dies, where is the link? it's not as if Moyes and Gold are related it is, business still carries on? I know people get offended very easily these days but I certainly wouldn't be, would you? Besides, he's not getting sacked anyway right now after avoiding defeat."
Re: Moyes Out
"Would the rest of the board want to announce Moyes being sacked days after Gold passes? Probably not. I agree. They have been accused of being charmless, crass and tasteless in the past. Wouldn't want to fuel those flames. I thought if he was going to be sacked (still not convinced of that) it would be after the Leeds game, but I think he will get the FA cup game now."
Re: Moyes Out
I wonder if David Gold dying has created a void on decision making in the boardroom? Would the rest of the board want to announce Moyes being sacked days after Gold passes? Probably not...

Re: Moyes Out
It appears that he no longer has any clue who his preferred full backs are now and is just making it up as he goes along? is Ogbonna finished? What's the plan with Aguerd? When is Zouma back? Complete shambles.

"He needs to be fucked off today 10 day break in the league Get a manager in, give him a few quid if needs to bring anyone in but the club needs a manager with fresh ideas and some bollocks to actually go for it. 2-1 up and Moyes goes all cautious and tries to play on the counter. He's done Fuck him off before its too late"

"30m on kehrer and Emerson and prob 150k a week a wages is just amazing I mean Emerson signing is looking so ridiculous it's unreal""¶ he plays an out of form Cressy for half a season then would rather play kehrer there than him. Also signing areola on a perm then keep playing fabs there is also mind boggling""¶ why sign him in the first place Honestly half decent full backs who actually play would make such a big difference to this team atm"
