"Davey - agree with that. Just depresses me that he is still in charge and we know that we are just going to get the same set up week in week out. I can't bear listening to him, such a mundane person - the players must be depressed knowing they have to face him every day. The board surely can't be watching this thinking it's all fine, or it's going to change . Abysmal stuff and a massive waste of money."

"British I've said he's the luckiest manager i have seen. We got lucky in Europe where no sussed us out until the semi. But he continued with the same tactics. He and Cresswell cost us a final. Any manager in the PL would have won the EL last year, any. He's been dreadful for over a year in the PL and the board couldn't see it. Chelsea, yes I know it's them but they saw the damage Tuchel was doing. Moyes time was up in the summer. at the very least. I hardly come on here now or other sites. It's a very big step backwards the club are taking. There are top managers around who with this squad could go further even this season. Look at Fulham are achieving. But if Silva lost 6 out of 7 he'll be gone. Just can't believe Moyes is still our manager."

"It looks like Downes and possibly Emerson were ""bought for him""ù ? I think Benrahma was too a season or two back. Based on his reluctance to use them. Areola might be another one?"

"All Moyes talk about the Red Bull model , about changing the culture of the club is just that , talk . Where are the promising youngsters , no signing of older players , he said , no need when he refuses to phase out the elder statesmen in the team . Many were incredulous when previous management gave sick note Winston Reid a long term contract . Yet Moyes and his indolent pal Sullivan continue to run the club as a retirement home , eg Antonio, Cresswell, Fabianski. Nothing has changed fundamentally. Moyes got his feet in under the table and it's been a comfortable, cosy ride for him . Similar to Charoo , he winds me up , at least as much as Allardyce did . What drives me mad is the absolute arrogance of the guy , never win anything , yet seems to think he is managerial royalty ."

"Na can't be having that Kite, Sullivan is an absolute cսnt no doubt but it can't be cos the signings are basically shit it's on his head. Moyes has banged the drum about doing his homework and being extra vigilant with signings, well he has royally fucked that up. And if he had a backbone and had been given a load of players he didn't want he should have walked away when his reputation was repaired."

"Vexed, Kite, agree. It's a strange time on WHO. So much to agree on when it comes to Moyes, the team, the recruitment. So rare but I guess we all share 2 eyes and ears in our heads so see the same thing on the pitch and cringe together at everything he has been saying for the last few months. His comment on Scamacca last night a new one: ""Gianluca has got that type of goal in him. I need him to start scoring ones inside the box and headers and tap-ins and things off the goalkeeper. I'm really pleased for him and hopefully, it can give him confidence to build up and score more for us."" Yeah so he took him off after his goal on 68 mins. That'll help his confidence :-( Moyes has become the opposite of that Midas bloke. Literally everything he has touched or done in the last 12 months has or is in the process of turning to shite."

"We are also crying out for a proper leader on the pitch, Rice aint that leader yet and he's fucking leaving so should not have the armband. But there are so few candidates that actually play and have any kind of leadership qualities or even anything about them at all. We need a Lucas Neill type to be brought in. We could have done with losing last night, we may have been rid of the hopeless fucking loser by now if we had. If we get someone in now we might just still have a run in the conference league in us. No chance with the idiot Moyes."

"I reckon he will be gone by February, but what depresses me is with Suillvan in charge at some point we will right back here again., feel like I've had my feel of this. How many years have we been fighting relegation, seriously, take the last two years away and it seems like it's been years. How can they fuck this up so badly, we are a Premiership club getting 60k at home games and clubs like Brentford are better run. I'm convinced this is mainly down to Sullivan we are here, it's him that's brought most of these new players in, it's razzle dazzle or friendly agents. I reckon he has ignored what the new scouting department has come back with."

"Yeah Romford, probably not so motivated these days in addition to slowing down at almost 33 years old? He would know it's his last big contract and I suspect his mind is now onto what he will be doing after his playing career which will be at the end of his current contract. Punditry and blogs seems to be high on his priorities. Expect to see him in the studio in 2 or 3 years time as a Micah Richards type pundit with his love of a laugh, comedic character. But when you're manager says he cannot find a better striker than you and you are 32 and the club endorses this with a nice long, high paying contract, you might start believing you are a tad better than you really are or in Antonio's case... ""were""."

"Charoo 6:38 Thu Jan 5 I think you will get 100% agreement on the frustration with Moyes. He has indeed had better support than most if not all previous managers. Its a psychological thing now I reckon in addition to basically not knowing what to do. 1000+ games playing his system has mostly kept him employed and been pretty successful. The game has changed due to a series of things like the Pep, Klopp approaches based on possession, pressing etc. but also the increased number of foreign players and managers and more recently VAR and not being able to foul like players could in the past, players simulation and diving is now a key aspect, ""shithousery"" harassment of refs and of course the biggest one ""speed and pace"" of the game. Moyes has not been able to adapt but like a despot ( Putin ) must live in some alternate universe because he keeps doing the same things, same basic tactics, players, systems and training drills no doubt. Downes is not the messiah! ;-) and he will not be spraying balls 20 or 30 yards or taking on players etc. But he was one if not the highest rated defensive midfielder of his type in the Championship with top stats for his ability to break up play and intercept, has a real ""engine"" but even better had one of the best passing accuracy stats in the Championship. Yet he's only 2 or 3 Premier League starts but Moyes decides to use him as the more advanced central midfielder? Insane !!! If you look yesterday at the 2nd Leeds goal and the match in general , Rice was the deeper player and alone trying to sit in front of the back 4. As Leon Osman points out quite rightly IMO. Ok CBs got pulled about but should never have got that far: Osman says: ""You see there again, Declan Rice trying to cover big areas, Soucek and Paqueta up the field and when you're playing one sitting in front of that back four, if the opposition get players either side of you it's near impossible to cover all those areas and it was a theme in that first-half. ""As soon as Declan Rice got sucked out of that area there was nobody else in there to try and cover that position and [Crysencio] Summerville, [Wilfried] Gnonto had a field day."" Guess what Moyes does? Bring Downes on in the more advanced position AGAIN! He will sit deep and support Rice. Paqueta too but he was actually doing some decent pressing last night further forward. Soucek? Invisible for the most part, anonymous because he simply does not possess the pace and movement and passing. You feel like grabbing Moyes by the lapels of his jacket and shaking him ! Use your eyes! Anyway, Moyes knows best. ""In Moyes we trust"". There is only one person saying this and that's David Moyes. Yesterday's man, who cannot adapt and is further entrenching with his tactics to avoid facing the realisation he is not up to the task / job any longer."

"What makes me laugh sir Alf is we are constantly linked with the forever injured slightly tubby Kalvin Phillips so we can play a ""double pivot""ù (another modern day shit term) with Rice. Yet you have Downes there who could do exactly that job and he plays that absolutely useless cսnt Soucek. It's got so bad. I actually hate Moyes more than any manager in my lifetime. He's had the opportunity, the money and the right players and he's fucked it up. Those that have gone before him may have done a worse job but they didn't have at their disposal what Moyes has. I have despised and loathed the cսnt since Feb last year when we didn't sign anyone. Look what the last year has given us because of his complete ineptitude. Wish he would just fuck off now. I'm so fucking angry."

"Good shout on Bowen and Benrahma. At least try it once. Moyes is myopic, blind. I suppose his one way to play and relative success at Everton of converting players by moving them to positions they have never played before has become part of his ""one trick pony""ù blueprint? He must Of been playing 5 or 6 out of position at times this season? In business it's called the ""innovators dilemma""ù where a very successful product or service works for a long time and the whole company is built around this. Then a technical or other change takes a place ( E.g. Kodak and the arrival of digital photography) but that company cannot change quickly enough to embrace it or doubles down on repeating what it does in hope that the new development won't eventually dominate. That's where we are. West Ham are stuck in the past and will go out of business ( relegation ) without change. And btw, even those numpties at Hammers News have cottoned onto the Downes thing: https://www.hammers.news/columnist/seriously-what-has-brilliant-flynn-downes-got-to-do-to-get-a-start-for-west-ham/"

Bowen would be better on the left how Moyes cannot see it is pitiful. Other teams have sussed him out on the right he constantly has to shift the ball to his other foot . And by the time he does the opposition have enough players behind the ball to stop him . The best I've seen benrhama was during Bowens absence last march when he was on the right . Just watch a new manager do exactly what I've said . Moyes is the luckiest manager in football to still be in a job .

"Westside 11:28 Thu Jan 5 That's sentimental bollocks. If Sulli wanted to show the fans he was decisive and up to the job he'd sack Moyes today regardless of Gold's death. Possibly true, but he's still in charge and will be until at least after Brentford. Why else wouldn't he be sacked? The compensation to Moyes argument is irrelevant in terms of what the club will be sold for, as is any money spent on transfers, this window."

"What happened to , was it minimum of 4 points from the first 3 games post WC ! Well we got 1 , barely , having thrown away a lead that can be directly attributed to his woeful negative subs . Why the fuck is he getting more time ? The club is in a death spiral with this prick ."

"Last night probably bought him till at least after the Wolves game Sullivan wont sack him till he is in the bottom 3, probably halves his compensation and by waiting till after the Wolves game gives less time for the new gaffa to spend money in the window The season is gone, Moyes and Sullivan are to blame. Best bet now is staying up and going again next year"
