"Willtell , fully agree about breaking the boom and bust cycle , but if that is to have any chance of happening to Sullivan needs to be gone . But he isn't and he will appoint a run of the mill out of work manager with PL experience. For me if we are to go with the list that's being banded about , I'd opt for Dyche with a contract to keep us up and that's it . Can only hope Sullivan goes but I wouldn't hold my breath. It's the hope that kills you !"

Our owners are in a time warp so we only fish for managers who wouldn't run a mile after meeting Sullivan in his mini-me Hugh Hefner porn palace. What serious modern boss would look at the dildo dwarf and think he's the sort of person I can work with

"Not many had heard of Erik ten Hag when he was appointed at Man Utd but look at how he has turned Man Utd around. That must have been a decision that was evaluated and analysed beyond Sullivan's abilities or experience. He wants PL experienced managers so that he can avoid blame when it goes wrong. That's why SOH is right. Sullivan should not be the decision maker on this but when hundreds of millions are tied up in WHU who would make a choice of an untried PL manager? The key is breaking the cycle of boom and bust""¶"

"Bielsa walked out 48hrs after his appointment at Lazio as he decided the chief executive wasn't backing him with new players in the way they'd agreed. Wonder if he'd break that record at West Ham, where Lotito would look like a regular straight up guy compared to Sully."

"Sully needs to approach Tuchel and Pocchetino, offer them the job and see what happens. If both decline, get Bielsa in. Anyone else including Benitez or Dyche I just wouldn't bother with"

t doesn't require an opinion when the options being excepted by many are Rafa & Dyche....we all know what they offer and it is much the same as Moyes.....do you look at these pair and think the current players will really want to play for them? Will they swap out the formation by much so we look like we have an attacking threat? Will they attract decent players to the club because their footballing philosophy will give them a chance to excel?

"It's easier to come on WHO and criticise but not give an opinion on how we don't have to accept non-progressive managers""¶ However, Side is right that Sullivan stated years ago that he would only consider managers with PL experience. That means they have a PL history and are never going to be new or progressive."

"GB, I know you want to swap it out to a 'who else is there' conversation.....but it's a simple don't be so easy to accept more of the same shit....not venting, just don't see why many are willing to just sit back and watch much of the same....."

"Side, bit boring but do you really think any one of us wants us to be in this position? Seems like you just want to vent, which is ok, same as a lot of us on here. I'm sure that the vast majority want the best for the team. I'm interested now, who your realistic choice would be? Everything considered?"

"bielsa would give his right arm to manage a bit club in london, he'd very quickly win the fans round and be loved. that's probably the biggest reason why sullivan would block such an appointment, he's not keen on popular managers"

"Why would Bielsa be that big a risk. He's very experienced, overcame his language difficulty at Leeds, and we'd win some and lose some. In our predicament, wins and scoring goals is what will get us safe...we need someone who can get us scoring goals. The teams that go down are the teams who can't score, since goals win games and you can't win games without scoring goals."

What this whole sorry business is doing is exposing how poorly Sullivan and Brady are running the club. unlike say a Brighton who obviously had a succession plan in place or even a Wolves or Villa who acted decisively when the obvious became apparent The scatter gum approach to recruitment is one thing but allowing this situation to develop and fester is appalling. What is now amusing is that they are trying to claim that they were concerned with how the team finished last season.

I want Frank and think we should go all out for him. Thomas at Brentford that is not fatty. Don't think he would come though and has just signed a new contract.

"Side, our owners will never break my support of the club over too many years. You've got to smell the coffee, no matter who we want, or who'd be best for us long term, at the moment realistically I couldn't see us getting a marquee manager with all the turmoil at present. I'd love to believe that we've been approaching some quality managers, maybe we have, but the owner and his slag just come across time and time again as grubby cunts. Who REALISTICALLY would you think would come?"

"Deep down I want Bielsa since Poch won't come. The way he had Leeds punching above their weight, the way he trolled Lampard in spygate, the way he's a little unhinged, and the way so many talk of him as the god father of modern attacking football, plus his Chilean side were awesome to watch, and Leeds won relentless plaudits with him at the helm. My biggest fear frankly is Dyche...4-4-fucking-2 long ball shit, no fantasy players, low block Allardyce bull shit. Benitez I could be ok with until season end. Can't judge him on Everton who are a basket case, he did well at Newcastle, doesn't give the owners an easy time wherever he goes. If he pulled up trees fine, it he's not a natural fit for us...but of the options I think he'd get us safe using the players we have. But please....Bielsa to revolutionise the playing style, followed by a young disciple of his like this guy at West Brom. Or rip Company out of Burnley when they're promoted given we'll offer way may than Burnley ever can if we survive."

"Was just doing a wiki search on Mark Warbarton. Surprised to read this: Wherever he has been, Warburton wants his teams to play with an attacking style, on the front foot, prepared to take advantage of opposition weaknesses by scoring goals Primary Formation. 1-3-4-1-2 Don't see any evidence of him impacting our playing style :-( but his managerial career is above average. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes over initially after Moyes gets the tin tack after the Everton defeat or draw ?"

No big money offers coming in for Rice. So they'll sack end of the window and turn Noble into the relegation-battle hero.

"Agree with that GB , Dyche is the best of a bad bunch on that supposed list . Keep us up and he becomes relevant again . Thank him with a generous payoff and use the rest of the season to identify and appoint a younger man with modern coaching methods ."
