If we get out of trouble and I suspect we will . It will be purely down to the players pulling there fingers out and sod all to do with Moyes . The way we sat back on Saturday in the second half was typical of Moyes hes a bigger danger to our survival than any of the sides around us .

I honestly believe Moyes is here to stay......at least to the end of the season. The time to sack him was after the 0-2 defeat at home to Leicester prior to the World Cup. That would have given the new Manager 5 to 6 weeks to work with the bulk of the squad that didn't make it to Qatar.

Moyes remains dead man walking. There's no getting away from that. Anyone who thinks he can 'turn it around' is deluded. He's been trying for 12 months without success...this season is simply a continuation of form. Which means the whole club is in limbo whilst he remains at the helm.

Well it's looking that we are exactly that and he has failed completely despite a large investment in players. Warbarton might be the attempt to bring in someone who's had experience of teams playing with more possession ? It's downright failed so far. No more possession and not doing a bit of what was at least successful. Not letting him go a month ago or earlier was a massive mistake. Lose Aguerd , Zouma or Rice and we are fvcked. They are good enough to perform in spite of the tactics and set up. I cannot see where 22 points are going to be earned over the next 18 games. Even teams like Forest are quicker, more energetic and score more. I still think Nevin is a big part of the problem but of course Moyes cannot see it and still relies on his input. Moyes job is just to bullshit each week about his good we were doing 12 months ago. Even if we sat deep but we saw better pressing in midfield and upfront we would improve. To some extent that is what Paqueta has helped with. Not quite what we thought when we saw 50 million for a Brazilian. He can do more creatively but not easiky in the current set up. Do we think Moyes, Nevin , Nolan realise that wingbacks are the key to playing thru the thirds via possession ? Aside from strikers we need 2 very good ones. Oh and more energy and pace in midfield. Downes might fix that bit but will never be played with Rice and Paqueta Time to get out the lucky rabbits foot and horseshoe because that's what we need to survive imo"

"Trouble is, and using the amusing if brutal analogy of someone earlier in this or another thread, in terms of managerial candidates and options, Moyes is one of the ugliest men in the burns unit :-( Our chances of survival may well be down to the fitness of Aguerd and Zouma and a fair number of the marginal decisions going our way ( e.g. VAR or Antonio's deflected cross landing nicely for Bowen's second). Nevin and Moyes aint changing the tactics or they would have by now. I don't honestly think they know how to as both have no experience of playing a more possession based style. I think they will say that's exactly what they are trying to do but the implementation of it ( recruitment, lack of pace, selections, formations, players out of position, poor pressing and movement etc.) confirm to me ( IMO ) they really don't understand or want to truly commit to a different approach due to the risks or ""unknowns"" for them. So slow tempo, side to side, 8 or more behind the ball , hoofs out from the back handing possession back and 40% or less possession will continue to be the order of the day. The possession stats are not dissimilar to when we were doing ok 12+ months back except it was not noticeable or acceptable as we were scoring lots of goals from fast counterattacks and set pieces and of course winning football matches. The ""Death March"" under Moyes and Nevin is set to continue. Just hope they can muster another 22 points."

I don't think West Ham fans are clambering for 'brilliant football' just to have the football for an even amount of time would suffice. There is also the frustration that we seem to have a few attacking players who can't really express themselves fully.....this is like telling Devonshire not to glide his way past players in the final third to take us out of shape and asking Brooking to have one out ball as apart from the striker he's on his own up there.
