"I reckon there's nothing strange in it from Sullivan's point of view. You have to remember that Sullivan got it wrong with every manager he's appointed except Moyes for 2 seasons. It's all gone wrong in the last year but Moyes will have promised to make changes to survive possible relegation. Sullivan knows he wouldn't be thanked by fans for bringing in a Dyche type manager so why make another bad decision. In Sullivan's feeble mind he's fucked whether he sticks or twists. That's all it is imho""¶."

"Vexed - It is indeed very baffling. The reasons I can come up with as to why? They are planning to sell soon and are leaving it to the new owners to sack him, or decide what to do with him. They think he is owed some loyalty due to ''the last two and a half years'' They genuinely rate him and think he will turn it around. They don't want to pay him off. All they care about is finishing 17th up, so won't sack him unless we really do look like going down."

"I've been thinking for a while now that there must be something weird going on behind the scenes at the club for this fucking idiot to still be in charge. If he could fuck it up he has done from piss poor gutless wanker tactics, to buying crocked players, to creating the youth team exodus, the dumb shit he's said in interviews, selling players to rivals, to not fucking killing himself when it become obvious he's a hopeless fucking cսnt. He's taking us down and I just can't get my head round why the board haven't sacked him. It's baffling."

"Moyes talking about our league position: ""But what we don't want to do is be where we are. We need to get away from where we are.""ù ""So maybe we need a bit of a kick up the jacksie to find a way of getting back to where we were.""ù For me that's saying he doesn't know why the team are failing? Literally clueless. We're fooked !!"

I would say yes BRANDED. I remember an away game up north where Joe Cole was injured and with his dad sat in the stands and I think it was the same game where a very young Carrick was put at LB because of injury. May have been Sunderland but not sure exactly. I do remember we lost 0-1 though and Carrick could play well anywhere

"Willwall I want idiots like you and twofeet to reaffirm which you have just now......so they marketed themselves as a footballing team, pass & move pepper pots etc and that could be where many West Ham fans get their expectations on what they expect to see?"

"The academy of football thing has been handy for the club to hide the underachievement down the decades. We lost, had a bad season or got relegated but always played good football was like some kind of moral victory. We ain't got that anymore and haven't for a while. I thought it all emanated from those meetings in a cafe near Chadwell Heath or somewhere led by Malcolm Allison but including Noel Cantwell, John Bond, Dave Sexton etc.. where they discussed and worked out tactics that were based on good possession and skilful players akin to some continental sides. Greenwood encouraged it later after seeing Hungary thrash England at Wembley in the 50s ( Puskas ). Anyway just a myth now."

Hahahaha! It's unlike Willwall to not know the real story about something West Ham what a fucking ignorant mug i thought not knowing Lyall was bad enough.....I'd still like to know why THE CLUB took on 'The Academy of Football' they certainly didn't need to but did so all the same.....carried it on for decades as well.....did they think they were trying to put themselves up as something educational or lean towards playing a certain way?

Spoke to a mate last night who knows Warbarton. Worked with him years back when he was a financial trader. He heard ( confirms what others have said ) that Moyes doesn't take advice from anyone. Won't listen to anyone's suggestions or ideas. He said that was part of why Pearce called it a day and even Irvine felt that his role wasn't really contributing much. Both are getting on so that was a factor too of course. I guess without much influence and their age they thought not worth it? Moyes apparently is not a communicator at all. Keeps players and staff in the dark. It's why he will never change much

"""Side of Ham 4:55 Sat Jan 28 Re: Moyes Out What fucks up your mincey view twoleftfeet is why did the club self title itself ""òthe academy of football'? ""ù ""î""î""î""î""î""î""î""î I Willtell you Snide. Because Ron Greenwood developed a young team that had a little bit of success you might have heard about in the 60's. "twoleftfeet 1:49 Sat Jan 28s historical facts are that we've never spent £200m on players in the space of six months before, and never has a manager who has benefited from such expenditure delivered such a depressing, moribund, fucking joyless brand of football"

"No, rose coloured spectacles because you seem to believe that West Ham have always been some kind of attack at all costs side. That simply is not true and those of us who remember the days of Radford, Chapman and Dowie will testify that the football was abysmal. Some of you need to do some historical fact checking."
