"On paper Rafa looks a good bet to take over at this stage, and not just because he's available and won't cost anything. He won the Europa League with Chelsea when he was interim manager there, and would better our chances at winning the ECL. At Newcastle he came in with 10 games to go and would likely have kept them up if he'd been appointed earlier, as they got 12 points in their last 6 games. That said, he's about as close to the same type of manager as Moyes as you can get. He's very defensive focused, when where we need to improve is in attack, and he's very aloof from the players, when we probably need someone to instil a bit of passion and encouragement. Normally I'd say it's a good thing for club owners to not radically change the type of manager with each appointment (like GSB have done every time, necessitating continual squad upheaval), but in this case that's exactly what we need, especially long term. Fuck knows who that could be though."

"When Benitez took over Newcastle in March 2016, they went on to be relegated. In his last job at Everton, he was sacked after a disastrous run of form. He did, however, win things 20 years ago, when football was completely different. Brilliant."

"Bill, you've got more faith in our support than me. A few good results and people forget what the three... Two cunts have done to this club. I along with a few others traveled to Turf Moor, Goodison, and Anfield during Covid to protest the board. We were prepared to continue elsewhere. My views throughout the good period between 2021 and 2022 (excludes the league) maintain how I felt about GSB and my mind won't change. However, some are easier to please."

"I'd take Benítez. At least he as actually won major trophies in his career (2 x La Liga and UEFA Cup with Valencia, Champions League and FA Cup with Liverpool, Europa League with Chelsea etc.) Yes, it went tits up for him at Everton but he did a good job at Newcastle and I think getting a proven winner in for the dour, dinosaur jock loser would give the whole club a boost. Let's face it, Sullivan would never sign a manager not out of work, so Benítez is the best we can realistically expect to come in at this point. At least by binning Moyes and brining in Benítez the board will be trying SOMETHING rather than just burying their heads in the sand hoping that Moyes will turn things around (he won't. He's a busted flush, dour loser)."

Bills took the words out my mouth . I was writing something similar when I noticed his post on here . I'm a member even though I've long suspected the only thing that seems to interest them is the loss of Upton park.

"What I still don't get is how there is no attacking or striker coach at the club. No one to work on forward play or movement. Moyes ego wouldn't allow it but surely that might have some positive effect. Remember Zola even got Can't control scoring for a while with some coaching. Moyes is the biggest cսnt and he isn't even slowly killing the club, he's quickly killing it. I hate that man with a fucking passion."

"We are the only club on this planet who won't give a lift to our team cos we will fuck Moyes off and bring in Benitez. Doesn't lift anyone. Like for like. The geezer at Stade Reims is gagging for us. The 2 brothers are gagging for us. The bloke who was at Wolves and Spurs is gagging for us but we will go with Benitez. I really don't know who I'd prefer. I think I want Moyes here till end of season as it means he turned it around. Personally I can't see us losing vs Forest but if we did, please not Benitez"

"nychammer 4:19 Tue Feb 21 I agree 100% Moyes needs to be gone, there are many who can fill his role temporarily and we need to give them a chance to prove themselves. Including Forest we have 15 games left this season and I reckon we need 19 points to escape relegation, that could be 5 wins and four draws, very do-able but tight. The longer miserable Moyes is with us the more difficult the task as we are just treading water with his strategy and tactics. We need different eyes, a different passion and different strategies. Piss off Moyes and don't let the door hit you on the way out."

if you don't cut out the cancer it will kill you. We need to Sack Moyes now. ASAP and then worry about who we get in. Get Sir Trev to cover for a couple of games. Basically anything is better than keeping Moyes around at this point.

"I suspect Rafa would be where Sullivan would go first, they know each other and Rafa seems okay to take short contracts. The ''give it to Noble/Nolan'' stance is not something I'm totally against, but that would be a big risk and Noble may not even fancy it."

I'd take Rafa until the end of the season now. He's one of the few that could work with our hideously slow squad of players and is fairly tactically astute. Wouldn't be pretty though and I would never want him full time but he'd keep us up I reckon.

"There's no way any half-decent manager comes in while we have one foot in the grave. The news that the Wally could go if we lose to Forest sums up the mismanagement of the club. The whole gets deeper and I honestly can't see us winning five games. I've said is before, fickle fans got us here. As soon we started winning games everyone was happy. David Moyes is a symptom if a club run like Steptoe and Son's Rag & Bone business. Sullivan is the biggest cancer the club has ever had. Fuck him and his cսnt family."

"With only Arsenal putting more than 2 past us all season, it seems unlikely it will be a ""òheavy defeat', if we lose. When you look at that goal stat, suggests a new manager coming in would only have to do a little tweaking to turn things around. It's still not too late to replace Moyes."

The drivel leaked to claret and Hugh by the club about being unable to find a new manager is a new low. What sort of £500m business has no succession planning when all their competitors are doing better than them? And lady Brady appears on tv dishing out business advice. She is to business what moyes is to management. They only acted last time it got this bad when there was a near riot at the stadium but I'm not sure even the crowd has it in it any more

"southbankbornnbred 10:33 Genuine question: at what point do you think Moyes would seriously question his own ability? Never. Why would he? Winning. That's what he does! Just so happens it's not very often, but who gives a shit about semantics."
