Re: Moyes Out
Only SAF (528) and Wenger (476) have more PL wins under their belt than Moyes! And he hit the 250 mark yesterday. H is 4th for anyone bothered........236 and the Special one 5th with 217. Moyes out!
Re: Moyes Out
"stewie griffin 1:58 Sat Feb 25 I'd like that story to go back to December 2021 when we were high in the league, flying in Europe and were primed surely to bring a couple of hungry reinforcements for maybe our ONLY striker (converted) who was looking tired and some extra beef in midfield. What went wrong in the manager's head that he would say that there was no one in world football better than a half fit, out of form, converted winger of a striker and that we didn't need any new players? You could pretty much hear the calls from Rush Green for reinforcements, even fucking sub players would have done. But no. The rot started then, this season is a continuation of that DELIBERATE approach by Moyes which is why he's needed to go long before this moment. The usual MUGS will give him another three games because we beat the single worst team to show up here, including the Europa conference lot, when will it stop? Moyes has to go, he should have gone before the World Cup and he needs to go every week between now and the end of the season."

Re: Moyes Out
He won't be going anywhere now unless we are actually relegated just can't see it. If we stay up think he'll be here next season as well. Only thing that might change that is if Sullivan does actually sell cos new owners often want there own man

Re: Moyes Out
Will he look at it as they've shown they can play better with the shackles off or we need to build on this by being hard to break down?

Re: Moyes Out
"Things is NYCHammer""¶ would they have pulled the trigger had we lost?? I think not""¶and if by chance they had, we'd get another old skool stop gap to keep us up who'd then be rewarded with a long contract if he managed it, so back to square one. Ideal scenario is 16/17th - which should see him sacked after what he has spent."
Re: Moyes Out
"Hard not to agree with fifth - good result today but hard to put it in context of the last 12 months. Can we go on a run and win 2 of the next 3 and suddenly be looking much more comfortable? Recent history suggests under Moyes the answer is NO, we could easily lose at Brighton and Draw Villa and so it will end up being closer than it really should be with some more massive pressure games like today deciding things, however I DO think when it comes down to it we WILL have the quality to just about stay up."

Re: Moyes Out
Just think what we could have achieved with an attacking minded mananger ! Ok he got it right today but you watch on Wednesday or even at Brighton we'll have 10 behind the ball hoping for a break !!! I pray that I'm wrong

Re: Moyes Out
If any of you think he'll see the light and realise that you actually have to attack games more regularly then you're mistaken. His entire career shows that. He's here until the end of the season now and it will come down to the last one or two matches. Our players are too good to be cast adrift but our tactics are too poor to pull away from danger. If we manager 17th and to win the ECL then I'll be delighted and will still want Moyes out. If we stay up by the skin of our teeth the owners must pull the trigger as next season we'll be down with the same approach. And I'm not moaning about the result - one win doesn't change the last 12 months though.

Re: Moyes Out
"A very good performance no doubt and credit to Moyes for getting it right today. Now he needs to keep the shackles off the side, one win against the team with the worst away record in the league doesn't change everything. Performances like that today will go a long way though. I'm quick to dig Moyes out when he gets it wrong and like I said, credit today he got it right, but he simply cannot revert back to type as that wasn't working."
Re: Moyes Out
"Today felt like a pivotal time in the season - the last chance to sack Moyes and get someone in who can realistically change the trajectory of our season. Lose and we act, win and we don't, and after a 4-0 win and a performance they aren't going be pulling the trigger now. So in Moyes we have to trust as there is no choice. Today was a good indeed emphatic win and signs of hope are there. Lets see how we do in a tricky away game at Brighton and home to much improved Villa side. I'll give Sullivan one thing. He has Balls of Steel to stand by Moyes when others might have acted many weeks ago."

Re: Moyes Out
"I wanted him out in the poor run of winnable games before the World Cup. Strangely no one listened. Hopefully today teaches everyone involved, especially him, some lessons. Surviving and winning a cup, the European one looks far easier, would be a result of a year. He is still here and I continue to support in hope."

Re: Moyes Out
"Reading these threads is always amusing. The idea that sullivan has a plan of any kind, let alone is capable of being the nefarious bond villain that people seem to think he is, is bizarre. There'll come a time when everything about this sorry season is out in the open but as far as the board goes, just look back a few years to the transfer offer to Leicester (I think it was them) as ro how we are run compared to everyone else"

Re: Moyes Out
Why is everyone so sure Daniel Levy would have Pochetino back after letting him go in 2019?
