"I did double check to see if you win the Europa Conference did you get into The Champions League. You don't, you qualify for the Europa League, but if you could have gone into the CL that would have been some sort of record, Champions League Qualification and relegation in one season!"

Steady 6:01 Tue Mar 7 ''We'll probably win the Europa conference but go down'' I would suggest you have got that the wrong way round. No Moyes side is beating Lazio.

"If you read West Ham the Managers Pardew was a bit of a twat, certainly earlier on with his ""King"" nickname, and the ""Moore Than a Football Club"" T-shirts etc were cringeworthy. He did however seem to learn from a lot of that and I'm sure we will all be grateful for a decent season and a Cup Final but I certainly don't think he was The Messiah. Felt a bit sorry for him with the Tevez and Mascherano thing and of course the new owners. Still baffled to this day why both he and Curbs failed to play either really until Curbs did with Tevez later on, but still not sure about Pardew. Always seems to start ok and then fall away."

"Stubbo 5:41 Tue Mar 7 Yea, I caught that vid on youtube, it was an utter fucking disgrace what they did at the end in cutting him off, proper fucking bullies. Apart from N.Sold does anyone actually spend their mornings tuning into this scum? It's incredible how an hapless, out of date, arrogant, hopeless wanker like Moyes still gets this support."

"This is what my sources at the club tell me. That Rice is loathed in the dressing room because of his immaturity, his ego and the fact he makes it very obvious that he wants out. Pretty toxic stuff, by all accounts."

"I want a manager who ""ògets' us a club, this fraud clearly doesn't. Not sure if he ever did. Pardew got what we were all about, as did Slav. The West Ham connection helps, but Pardew never had that. I'd take either of them back right now over Moyes. I'm really not sure it could be any worse."

"factory seconds 1:51 Tue Mar 7 Re: Moyes Out Shows you how dire all things TalkSport are. The caller made fantastic, factual well presented points. They ignored the bits they didn't want to discuss, tried to trip him up by changing his words to suit their needs, and then at the end suggested if West Ham go down, it will be on the supporters and their negative attitude. If ever there was evidence to not listen to these idiots and their agenda, then this was it."

"Rice is a very mature footballer, but not the most mature lad. Not a criticism, as he seems a really nice lad, but all that 'Rice Rice Baby' stuff, I mean fucking hell. Making him the club skipper does seem like a big error, but in fairness, the manager has not brought a single player to the club who could take the armband. And I include the keystone cop who plays lovely diagonal passes."

"I don't think Rice is a good captain. He's too soft and friendly. I'm sure he's a sound fella, and he seems very popular. But I can't see him having a set of bollocks to grab a team mate by the neck or to give Antonio a bollocking. Just the usual, look to the sky and shake his head ""oh mate fuck sake no way""ù. Fuck that just clatter someone."

"Yeah. That's where we're at. I don't give a fuck about some Greek league, none of us know the circumstances, I'm looking at the criteria your best friend Sullivan has for potential managers. I'd have him over Benitez, who looks about the only other bloke that cսnt could tempt in, and apparently even he won't accept a short term contract. Now, give us your shout, Dulltell son? Curbs? And, once again, please note it wouldn't be my personal preference. It's looking through the lens of your best mate Sullivan."

"""I'd sling the job to PARDS."" Ha ha ha the bloke that just left a Greek team ""by mutual consent"" before his 1 year contract was up. His record with them this season was 10 defeats, 3 draws from 22 games!"

"At the point that Noble retired, who actually was West Ham's ""òmost solid and most committed player' if not Rice? Fabianski? Ogbonna? Cresswell? Antonio? Bowen? Fornals? Zouma? Soucek? There's a case for saying that Rice is not an ideal captain right now given the circumstances, but what were the alternatives?"

Making Rice captain when he clearly wants to leave isn't a good move. Especially when he is so young and inexperienced too. IMO captain shouldn't be your best player but more your most solid and committed player. We really are feeling the loss of Noble and his past contribution is becoming all the more apparent as the season moves on.

"southbankbornnbred 11:49 Yup, sometimes all that's needed is a change and some fresh ideas and impetus to get the players believing again. It's clear the players don't believe in Moyes any more and he can't inspire them, so they aren't fully committing. FWIW I don't believe we have lots of poor players like some do. I believe we have a lot of good players playing poorly, because of poor morale, leadership, management, preparation and poor tactics/gameplans. None of them are happy, and when you aren't happy you do not perform well or give it your all. If you don;t give it your all, even against players who aren't as good but with better morale and cohesion, you're toast. I bet anything we'd look a lot better instantly with a change in leadership and direction and the players all happy and receptive to new ideas."

Villa are dodgy at the back . Problem for us is were managed by the biggest coward in football who will set up in a way that doesn't put pressure on their defence .

"Watching Brighton literally run rings around us was so alarming. A team not believing in the tactics, losing most weeks and down the bottom all season is now inevitably having doubts that it can get out of it. It will mean some players not taking risks and playing within themselves but Moyes job is to motivate and get them firing. That ain't gonna happen. Then the actual tactics, selections for those tactics, the training routines and drills. Nothing major has changed. You can see we are trying to keep possession and play it out from the back but we are pretty much the worst team at doing it. Why? We seem to have several players lacking the technique to pass accurately when pressed. Johnson, Antonio, Soucek, Ogbonna, Coufal but even Benny and Paqueta are guilty of regularly turning over possession cheaply with hopeful flicks or hanging on to it too long. But they have a tiny bit more more leeway since it's usually trying to create something. Even the likes of Bowen lose it cheaply. But as I see it ( opinion ) only Rice, Aguerd, Ings and recently Emerson are able to pass accurately under pressing. That said even Rice struggled against Brighton. Zouma is ok if he keeps it simple and Coufal too even Oggy but they are adequate at best. Soucek and Antonio, Johnson aren't able to pass accurately enough or control it most of the time. Then you factor in lack of pace across the team. This is related to passing and coaching. The latter restricts movement and passing options because of Moyes insistence on the low block of Rice and one other. So it's multiple things and primarily now they psychology of the players not putting in that little extra that wins games. But we shouldn't forget Moyes recruited 7 new players, Sullivan got Ings. He didn't really address the huge lack of pace issue and he doesn't coach to press and move anyway. The players don't fit in to whatever he trying to do. Then we get the Soucek situation. Sums it up and is the epitome of Moyes and all that is now wrong. A very, very slow player who is not good enough technically at passing or controlling a football. Ditto for Antonio. Played because he can defend set pieces and corners with his head. Antonio is an impact sub on the wing now at best. Soucek and Johnson should be benched. Soucek a plan b for height at attacking corners when chasing a game like the big lump that gets brought on late in a game. All the above was noticed by fans early on but it takes weeks for Moyes to realise and perhaps admit he doesn't know or got it wrong. Only changes we've seen are Benny getting played more ( albeit back to being substituted first always ) and Paqueta in a deeper role. I'm not sure we have the balance in the squad but we can do better with what we have surely. Kehrer is quick but defensively his positioning is suspect. A midfield option or wing back ? He can pass accurately so he has to be option as Johnson and Coufal are limited. Downes needs more minutes in away games and needs to be tried from the start. He was not great coming on at Brighton but he will generally provide more mobility and can pass accurately. Got to be tried before Soucek that I'm certain Right that's my Tuesday ""moanathon""ù over. Thx for indulging me. I'm a jaded old git who just wants to see another trophy or success of any sort before I peg it"
