Re: Moyes Out
It's far too late. He should have gone after the Leicester defeat before the World Cup. Gold was breathing his last breaths and due to the fact he was fond of Moysie nothing was really done about it. I wouldn't mind Noble and Warburton as caretaker managers until the end of the season. I think they would just about get us over the line. As it stands - we're going down under this clown with Sullivan's full blessing. It's fuckin' dire

Re: Moyes Out
"FS - haha! Love it. Fat Sam will be lobbying for just that. But he would struggle with the word palindromic. ""Looks the same going backwards, as it does going forward, dun't it? Where's Big Andy Carroll? I could manage Real Madrid, me..."""
Re: Moyes Out
"I think that we have reached the stage where to change manager is too late. The owners know that anyone available capable of making an immediate, positive outcome, improvement will be able to demand a King's ransom to take us to the end of the season. The bonus demanded would be enormous too. Come what may in the next couple of months it is clear that Moyes will not be in charge next season."

Re: Moyes Out
"I've always said I think the best option is Bielsa He would get the side playing expansive attacking football and if we did go down he would have the experience to bring us back up. Give him a 2 year deal, surely he is one of the best options out there, rather than the likes of Benitez"
Re: Moyes Out
"I suspect the pool of people prepared to come here on a purely short term appointment who have any kind of pedigree is tiny. Most are going to want more than a 3 month contract. It certainly only makes out of work managers viable, and those prepared to risk a relegation on their CVs. Sullivan fundamentally has left it too late to do anything good. He has the option of sticking with Moyes, or taking a punt on someone less-than-first-choice with an 18 to 30 month contract. We're in a shit spot right now."

Re: Moyes Out
if we get bilic back so we can be the first club to have a palindromic manager succession. though that would mean an eventual return of the walrus so best not.

Re: Moyes Out
"Come on you irons I see what you are saying, but I don't think the players you have mentioned are 2 Bob or even championship quality. I think the likes of Cresswell are on the decline massively and need moving on but Bowen is far from a bad player, he is just playing in a bad side, Paqueta has been played out of position, agree though that he needs more of backbone, Antonio has been blowing out of his arse for the past 18 months with fuck all service and no other player around him for 15 yards. Zouma has been rushed back numerous of times because Moyes decided that we could afford to lose Diop all whilst Knowing that Dawson wanted out and Ogbonna was coming back from an injury that most players his age wouldnt have recovered from or gone out to somewhere like Saudi Arabia on a huge wedge and played pub standard football. The likes of Lanzini and Fornals have had their technical ability drained out of them and the likes of Emerson have had to do the traditional Moyes bedding in period. Danny Ings has been left up top on his own for the most part of the 6-7 games he has played, Scammaca hardly gets a look in, even when we are chasing the game and he is declared fit. So overall I think we do have a good squad on paper, it's the tactics, in game management and style of play that is holding the whole team back. Footballers don't become shit overnight, but don't play to their strengths or coach their best assets put of them and look what has happened. We sit 16th, staring relegation in the face."

"Watford That is one fucking weird football club Managers out there must love that job, do 12 games get sacked, get paid off, another 1.5 million dropping into the account, onto the next job. Chris Wilder due to take over"

Re: Moyes Out
"Di Canio keeping West Ham up would lift the roof off that fucking stadium, that's for certain. He is batshit crazy, though. It could implode just as easily as work. With him, there's not even any point looking at his managerial track record, because the West Ham gig would mean something else to him. He would either catch fire, in a good way, or set fire to himself in a distressed monk way."

Re: Moyes Out
"Come On You Irons 5:55 Tue Mar 7 Re: Moyes Out This is what my sources at the club tell me. That Rice is loathed in the dressing room because of his immaturity, his ego and the fact he makes it very obvious that he wants out. Pretty toxic stuff, by all accounts. its a shame you had to go again, COYI son - I think it was ALF's latest novel that pushed it down the page the first time. For what its worth, its not wholly accurate. The dressing room is indeed not a very happy place to be. And Rice has to take a large amount of responsibility for that as captain. But its not him with the ego issues. He's a good lad."

"It's a fair point, Trunds. That has made me struggle since you mentioned it. But it would be a strong metaphor for any failure he experienced at West Ham."

Re: Moyes Out
"Pards is a busted flush, like Moyes and Benitez. He's been found out, quickly, at every club he's been at recently. Five clubs since 2016 and never lasted more than a year - including three overseas in Greece, Bulgaria and Dutchland. He lasted five minutes in Greece. Den Haag were going down when they appointed him - and only stayed up because the season was annulled by Covid."

Re: Moyes Out
I'd struggle having Joachim Low. Whenever I see his name I automatically think back to the clip of him sticking a finger up his rase then sniffing it.

"Talking of World Cup Winning coaches, what about Lionel Scaloni? He owes us one for the FA cup final and we could have a load of top class Argies in our team from his contacts! I wouldn't want Pardew but PDC would be brilliant!"

"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkH9_gEE5sE big WHU supporter, tearing it up in france, on a complete one-off maverick of a career path, ""let's commit forward and take a risk and if that risk fails we'll find a solution to it"". would be an absolute blockbuster story."

Re: Moyes Out
"ANYONE would be an improvement on Moyes. I don't actually think someone like Benitez, or Potter, is what we currently need. We need some to lighten the fucking mood, and give our better players the freedom to play. I'm going in for Pards. Fuck it. 4-4-2, Scamacca and Ings up top, direct attacking football. Would see us get enough points to just stay up I reckon."

Re: Moyes Out
"Joachim Low wants to return to football management after 18 months out. He's targeting a big club on the continent (likely Germany) in the summer. Give him a chance to show what he can do, with a temporary contract and a bonus for keeping us up (tempting for somebody like him, as we're not in the relegation places currently). He fizzled out as Germany's coach, sure. But we're talking about a World Cup winner, an organised coach and an experienced head who would probably not be cowed by being thrust into an immediate relegation scrap. And he's on the market."

Re: Moyes Out
"While it is true that there are not many good coaches WHO WOULD COME HERE who are currently available, I think there are a few who would be an improvement on Moyes - in terms of his management and team intent - for a short-term appointment. Of the available managers, we can rule out Poch and Tuchel - and one or two other big names - on the basis that it ain't happening with us in our current situation. We wouldn't be fishing in a big pond. But there are still improvements on Moyes out there. And it could be only a temporary appointment - with a potential permanent move if somebody excels."

Re: Moyes Out
"""I've always said, we have a good side, with some very good technical footballers, it's the leadership and management that needs changing."" What makes you think we are so good? The squad is pony and is struggle for reasons beyond just failing management. Coufal, Soucek, Benrahma, Downes, Antonio, Cresswell - all Championship level players now. Paqueta - a samba dancing, show pony, mercenary, bottle job fraud Fornals, Aguerd, Kehrer, Emerson - all bob average. I only rate Rice, Ogbonna and Zouma (Ogbonna being now past it and Zouma a crock). Bowen is hit and miss (more miss this season). The squad recruitment and refreshment has been dire under Moyes' watch and it's one of his biggest failings and a reason he should have gone before the World Cup."

Re: Moyes Out
"I think there probably is an issue with Rice and the captaincy in particular. No doubt he is a good footballer but I don't think he has the maturity to lead the side especially at the moment. He should be allowed to concentrate just on his football and allow the natural maturity to occur within time. It is not a happy dressing room right now and it has started with Moyes. If Rice isn't happy and doesn't like the way we play then of course he is going to want out, I'm sure he's not the only one and if Nolan is even calling him out and Nolan has played in some fucking shit house teams who have played some dire football over the years especially under Fat Sam then it speaks volumes really. I've always said, we have a good side, with some very good technical footballers, it's the leadership and management that needs changing."
