Re: Moyes Out
We should be going out to Will Still and offering him the job right now. Get rid of the negative cancer of Moyes Still is in a battle for europe with Reims but I'm sure he would take the job He admitted it's his dream job and could be 5 games from winning a trophy for us

Re: Moyes Out
"Just sack him. Being managerless is better than having this idiot in charge. We're there only team who hasn't scored in the first 15 mins in any game have this season. That tells us whatever he's sending the team out to do, isn't working and hasn't worked all season."
Re: Moyes Out
Or anyone from any level who would play two up front! It is quite an easy job to keep us up if you use the right players. Our bench last night was in part better than starting 11!
Re: Moyes Out
Just my view but managers that would take the job right now: Michael carrick - if he really wants the job he knows now his chance as it is unlikely he would be first choice in the summer - whatever the division. Rodgers - reckon he feels unlucky to have lost his job. His team was sold and no replacements brought in. personally am 50/50 about him. Reminds me of Pardew. Understands the fans but reckon will annoy the players after say 3 years. He has won stuff and also plays attacking football. Scott Parker - would take job in a second. Knows the club. Was a legend here. Desperate to improve his cv. Survival and European trophy would do that. Alan Pardew - would get an instant impact
Re: Moyes Out
"Tom - yea talk about polish a turd !! 40% possession, 2 shots on target and generally a pile of shite is, quite frankly, taking the piss out of them that pay good money to get behind the team"

Re: Moyes Out
Moyes made four substitutions and once the dust had settled we had exactly the same formation out there. Therefore he doesn't blame his system he blames his team. That's the extent of just how bad this dinosaur is now. No matter had bad the game is going he won't change it. So any opposing manager just keeps to their plan with no concerns other than to keep attacking us. He has to go today but he will still be on the bench at Fulham and we will still be playing one up front with soucek doing fuck all in the middle. Joy

Re: Moyes Out
"I suspect that the reasons Moyes is still with us are: 1) Every competent, professional, qualified manager the board has sounded out has told them to fuck the fuck off, so there's nobody ON THE PLANET prepared to take the current role on, 2) Sullivan doesn't have (access to) the money to pay Moyes compensation for early dismissal from his contract. I don't know if there's an insurer that will cover such payments (for, maybe 10% of the payoff, annually) and following the 2 historic, never-coming-back seasons Moyes keeps banging on about, Sullivan decided he didn't need to fork out any more for such cover. 3) The board employed as a tea lady, then sacked, the gypsy who originally placed a hex on us way back. We're being Harry Pottered into the Championship."

Re: Moyes Out
"Nagel - Listen mate, I don't think he's leaving a PL job on a Tuesday and walking into another one the same week, if I'm wrong fine, but yes if Sullivan says to him you take it now or never then maybe he would be tempted, does he like his wife, lol? Agree that a caretaker could definitely be a risk though."

Re: Moyes Out
It would be worth a bet on us not winning another game this season if the dwarf does the unthinkable and sticks with Moyes . This is even worse than 03 and the tevez season which takes some doing . The players despise Moyes and it's been blatantly obvious all season
Re: Moyes Out
He might hopefully realise that if he leaves it with that cսnt Moyes in charge or some inexperienced caretaker then there's a good chance we'll be relegated. Most people spend most of their working lives without a break. Managers only get them because they're frequently sacked. It's rarely by choice.

Re: Moyes Out
"Not sure about that, don't think Rodgers needs to play that card somehow. But yes he could be tempted, but surely he would want a break, 4 years at Leicester and was it about the same at Celtic, so around 8 years without a break. My thinking is a caretaker comes in Noble/Nolan and Rodgers agrees to the summer, if we stay up."
Re: Moyes Out
"Maybe, Manuel, but this would be a fantastic job for him and you have to grab those opportunities when they come. The thing he said about recharging is what they all say after getting sacked, not wanting to look desperate for another job."
Re: Moyes Out
"How he is gonna be allowed to carry on after getting done 5-2 at home, it's a disgrace. What a boost for the others seeing that, I watched Leeds the other night they look miles better than us. I fucking detest the bloke, what a arrogant cսnt he is, see what Sunderland fans meant when all he does is blame shift the wanker. For all the shit Pellegrini took for wasting all that money and how Moyes had to clean it up. This cսnt is leaving us in such a state."

Re: Moyes Out
"Absolutely no excuse not to get Rodgers in immediately now. You couldn't ask for a better fit for what we need right now. At Leicester he took over when they had 11 games left to go. Prior to his arrival they had 10 points from the previous 12 games. He got them 20 points in 11. We need goals and Rodgers has always provided them in abundance: Highest PL goal tally Liverpool ever achieved; Highest for Celtic since the 60s; 62-67 goals in his 3 full seasons at Leicester (and who are currently 9th highest scorers despite their position). We might be able to salvage something of this abysmal season if we can win the Conference League. In the last 6 years Rodgers has won the FA cup and 5 Scottish cups and got to the Europa Conference semi's. It's obvious that he's got a much better chance of winning it than Moyes has. OK, things went bad at Leicester, although their run in is far, far easier than all the rest of the bottom 8, and they never really looked like getting relegated, but of clubs in the PL in the last 5 years only Brighton have a smaller net spend than Leicester and eventually that tells."
Re: Moyes Out
"Sullivan and Moyes what a combination :-( 2 narcissists taking us down. Moyes knows one way to play and most teams nowadays can cope with it fairly easily. The game moved on and speed , pressing fitness and possession and movement to beat the press is key. Moyes doesn't understand how to coach and prep to play that way and moreover didn't buy the right players ( or let's say his buying priorities were wrong as evidenced by lack of very good right back ) to do that. He also didn't buy the right players to play the counter attack, defence first model either. He tried to evolve our style just by buying more expensive players. It ain't that simple especially when you ask them to do the same thing your teams have alway done. Rodgers or Potter will be a step forward. The question mark over Potter is how much the buying model at Brighton was the difference? But he would be the longer term appointment if he could oversee a Brighton type revolution. Then again, would Sullivans interfering undermine everything? Very likely. Always comes back to Sullivan. Ultimately he has to go for real progress and thus Rodgers is probably better suited to deal with working for an owner who buys players for you"

Re: Moyes Out
They will know already if Rodgers is interested. On the face of it he'd probably be the perfect fit . Has managed big clubs his team's play decent football and he wins things and here he would get backed properly unlike the last couple of seasons at Leicester. And is the type of manager who would hit the ground running.

Re: Moyes Out
"Steve - Can't take anything off the table, but I can't see him coming straight in somehow, he must be mentally exhausted and in need of a break. Also, it would be look a bit strange jumping from one relegation threatened side to another in a heartbeat, and would he even want to take a chance with his reputation, as technically he could relegate two clubs in the same season, if us and both go down. If Sullivan rates him then surely at least contact must have gone in? I just wonder if being in Europe saves Moyes, but we've seen it many times before where a heavy home defeat in an empty stadium is the final straw, I have a feeling he might go today before the Fulham game, which is now a big game and we need at least a point from it."
