Re: Moyes Out
Keegan resigning from England is the only one I can remember It is possible that the old MUTUAL CONSENT kicks in but that usually means you get paid out and its a sacking in all but name. Sullivan is in a death grip with Moyes and expect they will ride out the season as per the Avram Grant scenario mentioned. Hopefully with a happier ending.
Re: Moyes Out
"Aberdeen, we've been here before though, remember. It was obvious that we were going to get relegated under Grant but they did nothing. Sullivan himself said that it was mainly Gold who wanted to keep Grant on when the Martin O'Neill deal fell through, and Sully said that he didn't feel strongly enough about it to argue the case to sack him."

Re: Moyes Out
"I personally think he's got something in his contract about keeping him in the job whilst we're still in the Conference League. No sauce or anything, just has to be SOMETHING we don't know about. Other than Sullivan and Brady not being overly bothered that we're treading the planks that can mean relegation and I actually don't believe that. They do like £££ after all."

Re: Moyes Out
Like fuck will Moyes walk away. And why should he? I'd not criticise him for not walking away. It's simple. If you don't want him anymore you sack him. All this talk of handshakes and back-patting is a load of bollocks.

Re: Moyes Out
you've got to be very gullible to believe he'll leave of his own free will. he's driven by money and won't be going anywhere unless he's sacked
Re: Moyes Out
The history books will just say he was unable to develop the team to the next level. Which is in essence what has happened albeit he spent 200 million on players trying to kid himself and us that he could do it. Let's just hope he gets a few more points because there's still a real risk we drop imo
Re: Moyes Out
"Some presenter on Talksport giving his opinion that, ""I think they'll shake hands at the end of the season, and go in a different direction""ù is not the same as reporting it as fact, or even rumour. And it certainly wasn't worded anything like, ""Moyes will shake Sully's hand and leave end of season, what ever happens"" which suggests that Moyes will be the one offering to leave. If he does finally get the sack I'll expect him to go kicking and screaming that he's done a great job for us, that we've got too high expectations and we should be careful what we wish for. The clueless cսnt."

Re: Moyes Out
Moyes was never going to be in charge next season. No matter what happens in the conference league . It was only the Moyes fanboys and the ultra pessimist's who believed it .
Re: Moyes Out
A Scotsman leaving on a handshake without having his contract paid up just doesn't sound right to me. I suppose a future top job for him is on the cards especially if we stay up and get to a final. I'm not sure whether Sullivan should get credit for respectfully ending the relationship or labelled an incompetent skinflint for not wanting to fire a useless manager...

"is that the ""I'm in charge"" video? yes, he gets more and more fucking clueless as each video is released. at least geo often offers a sensible opinion"
Re: Moyes Out
Just listened to Gonzo go on about the team of Dad's army was a masterstroke. It was Fulham... He's now completely divided the squad. Wasted 180m. Saka will destroy Cresswell and Martinelli Coufal

"Just saw Liverpool throw the kitchen sink at Arsenal in the final 10 minutes, score a fine goal from open play and salvage a point. If we did that, Moyes would have a coronary... ... oh hold on ..."

Re: Moyes Out
"This bloody man has a line of bullshit for every self inflicted wound... He tells the press after the Newcastle game that we have to play this pragmatic, shit football to 'grind out results in a crisis'... Yes BUT we have been playing the same pragmatic, shit football for almost 18 months now... even when were in the top 6 / 7... Was there maybe some other, more positive, reason why we were playing the same way back then..?"

Re: Moyes Out
"We could still benefit with him going even if it meant us dropping Soucek and raising our performance level. Yesterday was a poor performance even if the result was good. As it is, we all know what's coming against Arsenal next week."
Re: Moyes Out
"Klopp's comments today Vs Moyes...somewhat different: Klopp also dismissed any suggestions that he did not need to apologise given he has lifted six major trophies as Liverpool manager, saying: ""I couldn't care less what we did last year or the years before. I'm 100 per cent responsible for this rubbish and it's really not cool."""
