I can't believe there's still people supporting Moyes . He makes allardyce and curbishley sides look like peak Barcelona in their outlook. With respect to gent we shouldn't be lining up with 7 defenders against them . It's on the dwarfs head now as much as it is the petrified clown from Glasgow for allowing this farce to continue.

"Rusta - I am suspecting ( hoping maybe ?) that the reluctance to press so hard by Downes and be physical was due to that early booking which, on replay, was never a booking. Last year we saw Cresswell come a cropper to the European players ""gamesmanship"" and refs so Downes would know not to risk us going down to 10? I am bias admittedly as I see a good player who needs more playing time in the Premiership and better coaching and development. But he has to start ahead of Soucek and in his proper position as a defensive midfielder. Moyes runs some strange selection process whereby new players we bring in get limited minutes until his favourites fvck up so many times he has to give them some starts and time. Emerson was an example, Benrahma, even Bowen when he first came sat on the bench for many games. Others like Soucek and Coufal didnt. Why? None of us know for sure, but I would not be surprised if the players that he doesn't choose but are bought via by Sullivan or from others recommendations are the ones he slowly introduces? Downes was allegedly someone Warbarton had recommended and was via Warbarton's daughters agency? Tony Gale is perhaps hinting at this as he says West Ham's struggles are largely due to wanting to progress to a more entertaining or flair side and that the players brought in are not suited to how we are playing and have actually made us worse. Moyes role I dont know. We are a disjointed mess of players from his old guard and new and we play a half baked blend of Moyesball but sort of trying to pass more and be creative. I think its simply Moyes not being able to coach / manage that sort of team? I know Moyes said he controls incomings and outgoing players in the summer but did he make a point of it in a ""he doth protest too much"" style that may just be covering for Sullivan? Anyway, Cornet is the latest to suffer this fate. Downes has never really been given a run of games and will not now Moyes seems to have reverted to his old ( very old ) guard in league games. To me playing Cresswell up against Saka is suicide. Likewise Soucek in a midfield up against the Arsenal team that move and pass at speed. But that's what he will do I reckon and I fear for us this weekend more than ever,"

Rusta 11:47 Thu Apr 13 He's blown his chance a few times now but Rice has clocked off so when the captiain sets that example it's not a surprise when everyone else does.

"New Jersey 1:49 Thu Apr 13 Re: Moyes Out Moyes has said he doesn't want vanilla players who don't run, tackle etc, l wonder who that is a dig at, Benrahma maybe? Sure he's lost the plot! I remember him saying that when he first came in and of course it made a difference. Now however, if that were still the case we would struggle to put out a starting 11 from the first team squad, and Antonio would be put down."

At least if the result got really bad Moyes could have called upon one of the 2 goalkeepers on the bench to come up with something magic for us.

"Depressing that opportunities keep being wasted by this hopeless cսnt. There's no way we're winning this cup, even though we probably should. Tonight was embarrassing, the stats show that we got mauled by a Belgian pub side. Poor starting lineup, pathetic tactics and not helped by the players unable to string three passes together. Not sure what these cunts do in training all week. Rice could do with being dropped to get his fuckin attitude straight, strolling round like his shit don't fucking stink. Unfortunately we can't afford to do that because Downes was just as shit. Wankers."

"IF Moyes keeps us up and wins this Mickey Mouse trophy (VERY unlikely giving his record of never winning a fucking thing) everyone should still want him gone for the sheer joylessness he has managed to bring us. I cannot in over 57 years of going and watching West Ham have I been so inured to even us coring a goal. We have had relegations, shit players, shittier manager, bond schemes etc but through all that there was always the chance we would witness a big club getting a bloody nose or a truly inspiring performance. So many false dawns, so many great goals, so many errors, so many great players, so many defeats dragged from the jaws of victory. But, never mind numbingly boring like now. For that reason alone I want him sacked at the very earliest opportunity."

"Kretinsky loves changing managers. Sparta Prague have had about 20 managers in the 19 years he's been chairman there. And no, incredibly, that's not an exaggeration."
