Re: Moyes Out
"what is it he trusts in soucek? he seems like a lovely person but for me contributes close to zero, game after game. whereas downes has multiple MOTM performances, admittedly in european games but when does has he been given a chance? similarly, fornals should and could be playing ahead centrall of rice/paqueta but only gets the odd run out in the unsuitable left wing role, or as a withdrawn winger babysitting that slow cսnt cresswell. It's infuriating the way he manages the team. he has a perfect replacement for antonio tomorrow in mubama but it wouldn't shock me if he didn't even make the squad"
Re: Moyes Out
"Seems to me Moyes simply doesn't trust certain players. Once he has a favoured XI, there is no veering from that. He simply waits until changes are forced on him. How else does anyone explain lack of game time/starts for Fornals, Downes and Cornet. His only player strategy is flog 'em until they break, and the bring in whoever he trusts most next."

Re: Moyes Out
"he's doing the same shit he did as we approached last year's semi final, has no idea how to rotate players and even refused to make subs in the last game. I can only imagine the state of some (zouma, cresswell, soucek, antonio) if he goes again with the same eleven tomorrow. the man is a cսnt"

Re: Moyes Out
"Whether you want him in or out, the key for me is for a manager to keep the momentum going until such time he has a squad he can call upon to perform consistently Moyes has totally gone off a cliff with the momentum he got going purely for not backing it in THAT January window. For all we know Newcastle could get off to a bad start next season and be back to their previous seasons form......barring some incredible signings in the summer!"

Re: Moyes Out
Genuine question for any who are still Moyes in and think he should stay next year Are you not jealous of Newcastle playing attacking football and challenging for Champions league? That could be West Ham and fans enjoying the football more at the same time

"I think you're right 3. Wouldn't surprise me if he decides on his subs the day before the match. It seems remarkably similar to rugby game management and the second phase substitutions that they employ at elite level. He must have read several books on coaching where the consistent message is that the best time to sub is with 20 minutes remaining. It doesn't matter what the sport is, the data supports it, so that's what he does."

Re: Moyes Out
I honestly think none of his subs are tactical. He's always banging on about slowly bringing players in to the mix. That's all he's doing. Once he's set up his style of play he never changes it. He just changes the person he wants to do the same job. It's bonkers really. He is literally doing to make sure his other players get a run out and some players get some rest. He also didn't really believe he would beat Liverpool and was settling for a draw. I think he had the subs ready before they scored? If he wanted to win a game he'd add an additional player to counter the other teams formation. I can't remember when he ever did that. He's an odd manager this guy.

Re: Moyes Out
"I feel like we reverted back to exactly what we've been subjected to all season last night. It's clear to me that we look a totally different proposition when we squeeze teams and play on the front foot - the times we've stepped in and got to the ball first, aggressively, is when we look at our best and most dangerous. Problem is, we don't it enough over the course of a game - we sit far too passive, happy to let them have the ball with no pressure - and whilst on the outside, it looks like Liverpool are passing for passings sake - they are just waiting for someone to go to sleep - then have the ability to move the ball quickly in the final third. Giving up large chunks of possession - from what I've seen this season - means when we do eventually get the ball back - it's like panic stations - we turn it over so frequently. You only have to look at the midfield and attacks passing stats from last night - Liverpool's front six all played at least double the amount of passes that our front six did - yet had a higher completion rate - the average was around 85-88% completion rate (across both teams excluding Soucek). Soucek played 23 passes with a completion of 60% - why the fuck is he in the team? We simply can not afford to play essentially with 10 men - It makes it impossible to dominate the ball and to play through the lines when you have someone that inept at keeping the ball. I actually think the team only needs a few tweaks, someone with some fresh ideas and bit of positive impetus for us to really be a good side. A frustrating night"
Re: Moyes Out
"Having abandoned mid field and possession, electing to play on the break off a target man, can someone explain the logic of removing Antonio for Ings who never was, isn't and never will be an out ball - ffs we were chasing the game If you want to play that way he should of had Divin on the bench Interesting point raised in commentary last night - apparently Moyes is a long term Ings fan, having tried to sign him previously when making a dogs dinner of the Sociedad job"
Re: Moyes Out
"Keeping the same side wasn't the problem but he didn't do anything to help us get a foothold in the game. Like for like subs was ridiculous, I'd have brought Emerson on personally simply to help attack their lack of right side with that cսnt Arnold thinking he is De Bruyne and leaving big gaps. Antonio should have stayed on cos Ings is waste of time. He claims we played well, deluded idiot. Had 25% of the ball is shocking don't care who you play, he can harp on about the handball but we was second best and he don't sod all to effect it. Can't wait for this cսnt to be gone."

Re: Moyes Out
"He's clearly read in some coaching manual that the most effective time to make a sub is in the 70th minute. Regardless of how obvious it is that the formation is wrong, or the team is underperforming in certain areas, you know us and the team will have to suffer it until the 70th minute is on the clock. Then he'll swap Antonio for Ings or make an equally ridiculous substitution. It's this rigid approach that can't be classed as modern team management. I for one would have started Antonio on the left up against Alexander Arnold and had Ings in the middle. I think Antonio would've been like kryptonite to him, but what do I know."

Re: Moyes Out
"Agree 100% about Moyes inept use of the squad and getting best out of the squad. Fornals was absolutely buzzing after his goal vs Bournemouth, it was a no brainer to start him last night in a game where ball players were needed. So completely predictable of Moyes to start the same team. I will never understand why managers make it so easy for the opposition when they set up the same every week like Moyes does."

Re: Moyes Out
despite his experience he never learns. He never gets points against top teams because he is a bottle job. He never ever sets up to go at them. And it was also that lack of courage that cost us a Europa League final last season. Bottle job of the highest order. Spineless incompetent cսnt. Fuck off Moyes.
Re: Moyes Out
Moyes record against the so called top six will never improve if he keeps setting up with the same tactics he put out last night. We show them to much respect to allow a team that much procession at home proves he (Moyes ) has no idea .
Re: Moyes Out
Moyes killed the buzz. What a surprise. Typical Moyesball against the so callled big 6. He'll blame decisions but on another night they could have scored 4 or 5. Gave the ball up for the whole game and played long ball. Can't wait for this bloke to be out
Re: Moyes Out
"The blokes living in the 1950s or 60s !! Only one sub allowed then. He'll start the same 11 versus Palace and we will look ""leggy""ù and tired. As mentioned, he doesn't understand how to use a squad and his tactics are primitive like him"
Re: Moyes Out
The less possession we have the better Soucek plays overall. I think that tells you everything in a nutshell.

"Created chances tonight and can feel unlucky with decisions, but 25% possession at home to anyone is dreadful and unlikely to get you points. Can't wait for Moyes to leave."
